Well, I gotta say it feels pretty good to have the two trophies!

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart -- you all have been a great support and I'm thankful to be part of this board and getting to share experiences with each and everyone of you. This type of bonding is priceless and means a lot!

It was amazing also to share time backstage with Shelly and Vanessa (and Nick of course -- thanks for the water dude -- I was about to swallow my tongue from being so thirsty LOL)...you guys are really awesome. I wanted to stay and share some Houlis but had to bring back my girl Lisa who had been hanging with us the entire day. She's like the sister I never had so this could not have been more perfect.

I'm just feeling thankful!

The Xcalibur show was a Class A event -- I can't say enough about how well the competitors were treated, how comfortable we were, how orderly the entire event was run...how stress free it was. It was really wonderful so hats off the NJ crew who pulled this one off. It was an incredible experience, and not just saying because I won my class...indeed it was an excellent event. Great people all around. :awesome::awesome:

P.S. I'm naming my two trophies Shelly and Vanessa in their honor. LOL
I will post photos as soon as the BF uploads them for me because I'm technologically challenged -- except to post on this board of course. I'm a pro at that! LOL

Vanessa, where do I begin with you?! Thank you for all the support you showed me yesterday. It was AMAZING for me to have you in my corner last night, and YES I HEARD THAT MOUTH!!!! I LOVE YA GIRL!!! THANKS FOR MAKING MY NIGHT EVEN BETTER THAN IT WAS! You sure can scream loud though --- you gotta teach me how to do that. :D You definitely made me feel special...and when you came back stage with those tips and your words of encouragement I almost freaked out when you said "you can take this"...it was surreal!

I'm relieved it worked out this way because now I feel I can go back into the gym after a short rest and continue to work hard and make improvements and have goals! It's so much better when you have goals!

This was not the Overall, but it is really big for me. Two years ago, it was not even a concept that I could do this and here I was on stage accepting a trophy for 1st place in my class...it was surreal.

I thank God...I thank my ever supportive boyfriend Fernando for his mentorship and guidance...I thank Dave Palumbo for his mentorship also and his excellent program to get me in my best shape ever...and I thank every single person who is in my life including all of you which all feed me the energy to be strong and making me feel that it's okay to have these goals and strive for something better!!

I'm happy if only because of the sacrifices you make as a competitor. Sometimes at the expense of spending time with friends, family and this is my way of showing them "this is the reason I wasn't available these past two years", not because I didn't want to be there at those dinners, or spend the some good quality time but because I was focused on the one goal. ;)

Well, the best part about this is that I know I can get back on stage and compete again. I think I may have not done so again, had I not done well in this show.

As for the plan, I am not sure yet. I would like to compete again this year of course. I have to think it through and discuss with Fernando and Dave and see what advice they offer. I'll be sure to let you know of course as soon as I find out which should be relatively soon...I can't be idle for too long. I always have to have a goal otherwise the fire in the belly gets small...

It sure seems that way to me Shelly. I know enough to know that things change so perhaps there is another competition for me in the future, but as for now I'm just trying to stay fit, keep working hard in the gym (although not as hard as contest prep which is a KILLER), and also going for my PT certification in June so I'm excited about that!!! I have been training with one of my girlfriends and using her as a guinea pig (which she does not mind) and it's going really well! We shall see as time progresses....the key here for me is to stay fit and to help others stay fit! And OH HELLYEAH I been enjoying some good eats...and lots of italian food I might add. God italians can eat! HOLYYYYYYYYYY.... delish!
