So we're having a big halloween party here on Saturday night and while it is my refeed day and I'll probably sample a goodie or two, I was hoping I could make some clean eats for the party. EVerybody is bringing something and I don't want there to be only junk. And since friends are always asking me about healthy eating, so I was wondering if anybody had any healthy halloween recipes? Can be for sweet treats or regular food.

So far, we're having "Bat Wings", "Kitty Litter Cake" (My mom is going to be the Crazy Cat Lady for halloween lol), Orange peppers carved out like scary pumpkins with "worms" oozing out (worms = pasta with pesto sauce), "Bloody shrimp coctail", Deviled Eggs (dressed like little devils), and then who knows what else. There will be plenty of fruits and veggies, but maybe I could make a pumpkin bread? idk!

I love using fat free Greek yogurt as a base for my dips. If you mix that with any dip seasoning (I discovered how yummy the Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning packet is or a nice dill seasoning) and serve with veggies. Take five baby carrots and use a dot of dip to attach a little oval slice from a radish on the end as a "fingernail", you can stick them in the dip so it looks like a hand popping out. You can even stick a little plastic ring on the "ring finger" :)

Otherwise, you can give a fun Halloween name to almost anything - so stuffed mushrooms become infected toadstools, asparagus becomes witch fingers, a salad with dressing becomes weeds covered in monster slime, etc. Find your favorite clean recipe and give it a fun Halloween inspired name! (It can be the same way to get kids to eat things you want them to eat.)
