Hi Amanda! Will you be competing or just checking out the show? The Atlantic States always has a huge turnout. Again, Steve and Bev do a great job running with the Steve Stone and crew.

Chris!!! you are the best! thanks so much for everything. you are honestly the best ever. I could not have done any of this without you. Thanks for being so amazing! I am so excited for this next show. Time ta bring it home:) No matter what happens I am jsut so happy to have had the chance to keep training and progressing. As long as I feel I have improved from the last show I will be happy:)

Thanks so much! it has been tough because I resigned on Monday - gave my two weeks and boss wont let me go. It has been a week of him trying to talk me into staying here. The worst part is that I really love him a lot but the other job will be less hours and totally different..... I am really looking forward to the show and taking tomorrow off to focus!

Hey all. OMG, what a long ass day!! OK, I needed to make sure I took a shower before getting on the computer.

Well, it was another great show, but it was so hot out today and humid. Think some of us (well me lol) cared more about how my hair looked than anything else hehe. Congrats to Jillian for her 2nd place win and Jill Frew for Masters 4th. It was great meeting everyone. Caught up with Katherine working the Species table, met Zoila & Amanda - both so cute and sweet. I was able to chat with Dave and Maggie a little, which was great. Thank you for your time guys.

Overall, it was another good experience. This show, being in the middle of the season, has always been a big show. Wow, what 23 in the A class. All the ladies were great and it was cool to bump into some gals I haven't seen in years. Unfortunately, I didn't place and it gets a little frustrating trying to improve, but I did my best and my new motto is "It is what it is"! Ask Jillian how many times I kept saying that today. LOL But it's the truth and I will just keep pressing on and eventually GET IT RIGHT! Deep in my heart, I just love competing and lookined athletic and being healthy and this just adds fun to it. I dont' take it personally and try to get better each time. No lie, a win, gosh a placing would be great, but "it is what it is" and I'm just proud to set my goals and see it through to the end.

Thanks mama! I keep it with real with myself and someday I will have what the judges are looking for. I know I've been improving, though it's a long process, but I won't stop trying to get it right. Hey, it keeps me in shape for the summer LOL ;). Jillian took some shots too and oh, I met her parents today too and they seem like great people. They were proud (me too) of their girl (and of course Chris!!! - great guy). Look at her have her treat!!! Love you girl...you're gonna knock em dead in CT!!

She told me it took her 5 months to get ready to do it the first time around. She had no gymnastics or dance experience either! She works her butt off! I wasnt to do fitness so bad!

THANKS!!! You can't take things too seriously and I'm just happy to have made it this far and be able to get on stage and do my best (I just better not have placed last lol). No matter, I feel great and happy to be smaller and able to wear all these cute little summer outfits :D So true what you wrote, "it is just a few people's opinion..." It's a sport and there's great competition out there and many, many female athletes that train just as hard as me, deal with their "competition flaws" and just work and hope for the best. It is what it is....lol - let's hope I dont' O.D. on this quote :D

Hey Teri! Thanks!! It's all heart! It's tough, but I like that personal challenge. Even if I can't make huge changes in the short time, it's challenging just to maintain or tighten up a little and stick to the plan my trainer Mike Davies gives me. Oh, I met 2 girls at the show who live in DC and weren't planning to do it, but I tried to convince them to since it's just a week away. But, they weren't feeling it, so they plan to just go and cheer me on. How sweet. This is what I mean about these shows just being fun and the other girls supporting you. That made me feel great. AND, one is having a party and invited me LOL. Don't think I'll be able to hang since we are leaving NY that Saturday at 4am and I'll probably want to go to sleep after the show. Looking forward to meeting you and we'll take :camera: :D

Class B winner Hernandez wins Masters

I got to talk to her several times while we lined up for Masters and she was just so sweet and was just rolling with it. She wasn't sure if she was 1st or 2nd. Very humble and a great, funny personality. Congrats to her. She looked really good. Some of these pics are kinda deceiving. Hope to post the ones my photographer sends me.

I remember her from the Gold's Classic. I like her in Fitness, and she has made huge improvements since last year.

I really worked on my legs from Jan till now. I started doing legs twice a week. It really helped.... Congrats on getting married!!!!!!!!!!!! WWWOOOOHHOOOO! :) I am pretty sure I will be coming to watch the easters,,, not sure if i will enter or not... That was my first show ever last year:) its a great show.

Yea A and C were Huge! I was shocked that B was so small. it was kinda weird... I heard someone talking about how they were going to start splitting A into 2 groups if the number keeps growing.... That will be interesting:)

Too much going on with work and I'm just not responding physically, so a short time out is best. So, I am focusing on preparing for the Masters Nationals. Sorry I won't get to meet you this time. hello everyone my name is BARDO most of u know me from the MD board.. i am lil J's janettes boyfriend... i just wanted to say i saw alot of the ladies on here this past saturday and everyone looked great!. its always fun hanging out with people from the sport..

shelly,,dora...lisa....samantha...and anyone else i forgot..

lil J (janette) got alot of feedback.. we tried our best to bring her in the way we thought.. in the pics it doesnt look like her legs came down but the really did alot..we were told she was to big for figure esp a class. bc shes only 4'11 and weighs 106.. her shoulders and triceps stuck out and her booty..also we had a make-up girl who did the makeup and it ended up coming out bad.. i thik we should have kept it the way she does her own makeup...also the suit looked great just holding it but when she was on stage it gave a white effect... we were told to bring this all down for the next show, or move into lightweight bodybuilding.. after we got home and saw the pics we were amazed we didnt believe how big she actually looked..hahahaha..so we have some rethinking.. and gotta re-evaluate our gameplan. she doesnt go on the boards that much imma try to get her to join.. but like i said after seeing the placings she didnt look like any of them. anyway congrats to all the place winners in all the categories.. and i will be on the board here from now on..

p.s. i want to give a big thanks to dave and his wife maggie. who took the time to sit down with me and talk to me about lil j's body and the changes we need to make..
