Hey you,
I dont know if this already been up in some thread, but I read contest info on www.nationalbodybuilding.com and noticed this one..
"[ ] Men and Women bodybuilding contestants will not use music at the prejudging – only the Finals. There will be 45 seconds of posing without music in prejudging for bodybuilders. "
What is that? Has there been such before?

Yes, at pre-j you always do the 45 second solo w/o music then come back for callouts. At night show I think it's 60 seconds w/ music.

I never knew about that!
We only have here call outs / comparisons, then only posing alone on stage is free posing routine in finals...
Interesting! Thanks for the answer, KP !

It was 60 seconds for years. Pretty much the same as the finals routine with the music, except when doing the 45 seconds, it's just hitting your best parts as you prepared your routine, but keeping it basic, not doing dance moves you would do at finals.

sometimes it is 45 sometimes 60; sometimes it says 60 and at last minute right before you go on they say 45 (that happened at 2007 jr nationals)
night is 90 sec with music

Will we ever see an almost 6 minute routine in female bodybuilding like Cory did in the 1987 Ms.Olympia?

45 second free posing without music during prej is my favorite part! It's the chance for you to really get some time in front of the judges before they do callouts.

make sure you get all your madatories in and then you can add other shots as you go...make sure you hold your poses...they will give you a 10 second heads up before your 45 seconds it up... good luck!

AMEN! This is when photographers are taking most of the shots. If you don't hold your poses and don't hit the mandatory shots you'll end up with little to no photos.

You mean Cory's routine? She'll probably agree with you and say I can't believe I did that. But she won the title. :D

Let's hope not. Unless it's someone like Cory or Sheila Bleck of course.
I can barely muster up the energy to put together the 45 second routine, never mind the 90 second one with music!

Yes far too long, though amazingly beautiful...but after 2minutes, seems like there's nothing more to show.
