The 4th annual 2008 NPC Xcalibur Bodybuilding & Figure Championships to be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Bridgewater-Raritan High School.

From Rt 78 East & West

You will see signs for Rt 287 South. Take Rt 287 South to EXIT 17 (Rt 202/206 Exit) and follow to COMMONS WAY Exit. Make RIGHT at traffic light and follow to Garretson Road. Make LEFT and follow approx ¼ mile to Bridgewater-Raritan HS on LEFT.


From Staten Island

Take Rt 440 into New Jersey and follow to Rt 287 North to Exit 14B (Rt 22 West). Follow to Rt 202/206 North / Rt 287 North Exit. Follow to Garretson Road/Commons Way exit. At traffic light make LEFT onto COMMONS WAY. Follow to Garretson Road and make LEFT. Make LEFT and follow approx ¼ mile to Bridgewater-Raritan HS on LEFT.

When someone test judges a show that means they are being looked at as a potential judge. After test judging a certain # of shows, if they are approved, when new judges are needed they may be given the opportunity to become an actual NPC judge.

Ladies, If I am not mistaken prejudging is at 1 p.m. -- different but I am not complaining. It's better not to wake up at the crack of dawn. I'm not sure there will be time for nap in between shows though -- which I really like to do. :(

BRIDGEWATER: Bodybuilding competition is Saturday at high school

The 4th annual 2008 NPC Xcalibur Bodybuilding and Figure Championships will be held Saturday at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, 600 Garretson Road.

The event, a national qualifier, will begin with weigh ins at 10 a.m. Prejudging will be at 1 p.m., with the show beginning at 6. Registration may be done at the weigh-ins.

In the past, the event has raised money for the Steeplechase Cancer Center at Somerset Medical Center, as well as an individual who was stricken with cancer at a young age, said Jessica Rohm, a Bridgewater-Raritan High School teacher, who will be judging the event. Rohm also will be presented an award acknowledging her accomplishments and contributions to the sport.

This year, in appreciation to Bridgewater-Raritan High School for their generosity in allowing the organization to use their school, a portion of the proceeds from the show will be donated to the Project Graduation Fund, a community-based tradition intended to prevent hazardous and harmful activities often associated with high school graduation celebrations, she said.

A check presentation will be held at 7 p.m. in the school gym.

Project Graduation is an all-night, alcohol-free and drug-free celebration held every year for the graduating class. Each year, a committee made up of parents hosts various fund raisers throughout the year to support the project. The group depends largely on the community to help support its efforts.

Pat Grieco and his crew and every member who made the event possible outdid themselves making the competitors feel cared for and comfortable at this event/venue.

The event was run very orderly, it was timely, the venue was incredibly comfortable and clean, every person of the team was very attentive. They all totally rocked.

They made us feel their love for the industry and their appreciation for our efforts as competitors. For the night show, they played the national anthem and they all were dressed SO WELL...the ladies rocked the evening dresses, the men the suits and ties. You can tell the value they put into this event and the worthy cause they were contributing to as well.

NJ gets the Class Act Award!!! :awesome::awesome::awesome:

I totally agree. Pat and his team do a great job. I did this one back in 2005 and they treated us so well. Even bought us pizza after the show and Pat's wife made homemade cookies that they gave in a goodie bag to all the competitors! Anyone ever thinking of doing this one in the future, thumbs up too :awesome:
