CALIFORNIA Pro Figure ! May 4th
May 24th at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Culver City, CA...Memorial Day weekend! I will be gracing this particular stage as a Pro Figure athlete..This particular show is so special to me..It was at this very show that I first decided I wanted to be a figure competitor...Here's my story!

I was going through some old photos today and I found some that I had taken 4 years ago with IFBB Pro Fitness competitor, Adela Friedmansky, IFBB Pro BB Melvin Anthony and IFBB Pro Bob "CHICK" Ciccherillo...The 2004 California was the first Pro Figure show that I ever watched!..That was almost 4 years ago...

4 years ago, I was debating within myself - asking myself if I would ever be good enough to be like these girls! I wondered if I even stood a chance to be on stage...I was trying to figure out if this sport was for me...I was trying to figure out on my own which show I wanted to compete in, what I had to do to get going...I remembered being mesmerized by the whole event...I remember being starstruck with all the beautiful figure girls (amateurs and pro!)...I was so envious of their physiques!...This very show, the California Pro 2004 marked the day that I told myself that I want to be a figure athlete! That was 4 years ago...

This show, 4 years ago, the 2004 California, changed my life!

In less than 20 days I will be on the very same stage as a Pro Figure athlete myself! Who would have known? I certainly didn't! I am so excited and I've worked so hard for this special show, I can't wait to get up on that stage. lol!

IFBB Figure Pro, Meriza DeGuzman checked in recently and shared a few notes worth mentioning. Meriza is heading into the Cal Pro on Memorial Day weekend and people will be seeing a new, refined package from the looks of things. Four years ago, she attended this event and it changed her life forever. It was this very show, which was the first pro figure show she’d watched, where she decided to try her hand at figure. She was kind enough to share a preview of what we’ll see the end of this month at the IFBB Pro Figure show held in Culver City, CA. This mom has shown that with a little hard work anything is possible. She’s balanced out her physique and added a bit of size to her short frame. It looks like she means business this year. Meriza has also been working with Ms. Figure International, Gina Aliotti, on her posing and polishing her presentation. Props to another “shortie” who looks to stand tall on the figure stage in 2008.- Isaac Hinds

FLEX: Last year was your first as a pro. Now that you're a veteran, how has your attitude changed?

FELICIA: I didn't even really know what to expect. I think I put too much pressure on myself in the beginning with my body and with everything, just being new at it and new to the pro stage. This year I'm way more relaxed, I have a way better attitude. I'm just not as stressed out as I was last year. I feel like there's less pressure, I feel like there's less to prove. I just have to go out there with whatever I have and make the improvements that I need to. I took third here last year so I definitely want to come in placing that or better.

WOW Amazing line-up! Like I've said before I love this Division because it doesn't matter height, weight, body type its how you carry it... A LOT of these competitors look very different but they all look GREAT!

I have to say KRISTI has just gained a HUGE NEW FAN!!! :bowdown::bowdown:... I was looking through the pics... and she is the cutest lil thing since cuddly wuddly ferbies! No seriously... I love her look/body and am OBSESSED with her suits! OBSESSED... I desperately would love to know who makes them... THE cuts of them ARE perfect TO HOLD in the goods (if you know what I'm talking about) VERY ORIGINAL... not a ton of stoning (which means less cha ching lol) BUT yet stands out!
