Jill Mills was born on March 2, 1972. She is 36 years old. She got her start in lifting when she was 13 years old. She would lift her father’s weights that were filled with concrete after the family went to bed during the summer. She was jogging and doing sit ups by 6th grade and enjoyed the high she received from working out. Throughout high school, her body was becoming stronger and stronger and it was gratifying to her that her body was responding quite quickly to her workouts.
She joined the Army at 17 and enjoyed the physical aspect of basic training. She went into reserve status and married her first husband at 19. She had a daughter, Layla, when she was 20, and by the time Layla was 9 months old, Jill had competed in her first bodybuilding competition. She went on to compete in 3 more competitions and place in the Top 2 in each of the events.
Jill separated from her first husband and relocated to San Antonio. It was there that she met her current husband, Milo. He was the one who got her to try powerlifting. She would go on to set several state and national records during her powerlifting competition days. She started strongwoman competing in 1997. She won the World’s Strongest Woman title in 2001 and 2002.
Jill lives in Floresville, Texas and is currently a massage therapist and physical trainer. She has a 15-year-old daughter, Layla, from a previous marriage. Jill is currently expecting another child.
