ok.. i admit it , my name is emily and i am a text msg addict. I broke down and got myself a blackberry 2 yrs ago so i could have a full keyboard to use , before that i could text on my phone without looking at the keys. ( i knew exactly how many times to hit the keys for each letter) am i alone people??? who else is a texter???

i mean seriously my honey and i live on text msgs right now , with both our jobs we cant talk alot during the day.

That explains it. I would feel the same way. I really am going to try to talk more often. The problem is also with contest prep - you barely have a moment to breathe - every second is taken up. When you get on the phone you can't say two sentences and hang up so you think about -- and texting is quicker and more effective. Nonetheless, I know something is lost.

Oh yeah and PIC texts are good too ;)
I do talk on the phone alot too though... love to talk when I'm cleaning which is constantly but it makes it go by quicker (plus I'm home with kids ALL day)

I used to be a consultant at a telecom company. And I have been texting ting since the late 90's. However for the life of me, I still am very slow texting or typing msges. I have 3 blackberries 2 or 3 pda's and probably a few hundred cell phones. Great thing about GSM phones you can put the sim card in it and use a diffferent phone everyday like wearing diff. clothes. A little heads up to T-Mobile subscribers, you can send sms or test messages from you email addresses and it will not use up your bucket of messages if you don't have unlimited sms bundles. Type the phone number like this ex. 3015551212@tmomail.net So if you are on the net and have to text someone, open another window and text through email. Another option.

I have been a texting addict for years now. I txt so fast people can't keep up with my answers and they finally call me! Its just easier when I am at work. I hate always putting friends/family on hold while I answer radio or take calls or walk ins. It easier to txt, answ phones, and help people in lobby all while txting!:D Shelly I have the black berry pearl. Got it for Christmas. I love the camera, and the real internet. The keys are real small so its hard to get use to, and there are 2 letters per key, so you find that you are always having to check your words. The phone will also try to figure out what word you are using and sometimes it a real pain. It also has a tendancy to lock up when sending pic messages..overall, not a bad phone though...

ok...i have a major dilema.

this is the deal, im elligible for a discounted phone rate. i can right now go down to the Verizon store and pick up an enV for like $30. then next friday go and buy and XBox 360 (which i have been wanting for a while.) OR i can wait til next friday and buy a Blackberry Pearl that would end up costing me like $150 and not be able to get my XBox for another month....urgh. the thing is i have a LG VX5200 that works perfectly fine, its just old, and not flashy

LG usually carries a one year warranty on their products. so you may be able to go through them if you have had it less then a year.
