I have always loved Kristi's look, to me she always looked so great - thought she looked great at the O, total package if you ask me. I am happy for her, and Felicia too! Great line-up and can't wait to see pics of everyone!

Felicia mentioned that she had worked very hard (post-Arnold) on her leg development. In her thread on Rxmuscle, she said that she had been doing glute-specific training 3x/week. I thought her symmetry improved dramatically in the package she presented at the Olympia and according to Terry Goodlad's assesment, her conditioning is on today. :respect:

Hey everyone, wanted to let all know that the consensus from all that are attending the show, as well as I, believe the level of conditioning at this show is incredible. From top to bottom! All the ladies looked awesome and should be proud.

Felicia Romero or Kristi Tauti, this is clearly the decision the judges are wrestling with. I am going to throw a dart on the wall and lean toward Kristi Tauti.

Felicia Romero has worked so hard for so long to bring her lower body in proportion with her upper body and while she has come very close to reaching that goal in this last year she has not quite hit the mark, until today. Wow. Its so cool to watch an athlete do show after show and be tenacious about making improvements regardless of how long it takes. Felicia has stuck with it and today she reached that point where her legs are full and round and from both the front and back her lower body looks balanced with her upper body. Her conditioning is on the money and if she were to ask my advice I don't know that I would tell her to change anything. Its looking by the callouts that its between her and Kristi Tauti for first and second and while I am supremely impressed with the progress Felicia has made, I think Kristi has a very slight edge when you compare their hamstrings and lower glutes. This has really come down to splitting hairs on this one and could go either way.

I suspect the judges are struggling with the same decision as they are taking their time looking at that first group.

Regardless of what the judges decide here, Felcia has taken her physique to a whole new level for this show and with continued attention to detail she will become even harder to beat in the future.

Kristi Tauti really hit the mark this time. Her conditioning is bang on. The last time out, and I don't recall the show off the top of my head, she looked like she had rushed it and really did not look anywhere near as good as she is capable of looking. That isn't the case here today as her conditioning is spot on. She has it all really for this show. I would like to see a little more size on her hamstrings yet what she has is very well conditioned but just like Felicia, that is really splitting hairs here mind you when you have two athletes this close, splitting hairs is what you have to do to pick a winner.

I am really impressed with Kristi in this show and while I don't know if this is her all time best it's got to be really close to it.

I think she has this one by a nose.

I am not going to make any predictions past the top 2 because it's just too close to call and frankly I think I will be fine with whomever the judges place 3rd to 7th. The battle here though is for that 3rd place spot and the accompanying 2010 Figure Olympia qualification.

One strong candidate for 3rd is Krissy Chin. This is quite probably the best she has ever looked as an IFBB pro. She completely turned herself around from being excessively lean the past couple years then started the transformation early this season to a fuller, less muscular, and far more pleasing look. She hit it on the nose here for sure. If there is anything she can do now to improve it would be how she is posing her upper body. Her arms are pressing against her sides and straight so it does not display her back or shoulders as well as they could be.Meriza DeGuzman is another athlete that has made some very significant changes since the Olympia even. She has downsized which is what she needed to do as she used to be very thick from the back. Her body is much more balanced now and proportionate for her structure. She looked slightly flat but outside of that everything was on the money. I really like this look on her much better.Kristin Nunn is a different athlete since we saw her last on stage earlier this year at the Cal State pro figure show where she looked drawn and flat and appeared to need a year to fill out her body and fine tune the details. It didn't take a year. She has a gorgeous face and an incredible structure with sleek long limbs and long sweeping muscle bellies. She is much fuller here in her upper body and has made big improvements in her back and how she presents it on stage. She will finish respectably here but if she keeps improving at this rate she will be an athlete to watch for next season.

I really like her look and she is a very nice girl. She represented herself well in her rookie season.Akane Nigro-Ismeal was a really powerful amateur but was at times thought to be too muscluar for her frame. Genetically her muscles really pop from her frame so a little goes a very long way. She has managed to make it all flow much better now and is really making her presence known here in a tough pro lineup.Carin Hawkins really looked impressive up there in the one piece and while she may have lost a little steam in the two piece round it was barely negligible. Carin is another athlete that really made some great improvements balancing out her body and hit her conditioning on the money. A big improvement I notice in her is her stage presence. Jon LIndsay's shows are low key and very personable affairs so it lends itself to a much more relaxed athlete on stage. Whether its that or something she has been working on very hard to improve the result is evident. I was really impressed with her as well.April Roundtree is another athlete that has made noticeable improvements in her physique but April may have gone slightly past where she should have been with her conditioning. She looks like she was probably really hitting the cardio hard on low carbs for this show as she is probably the leanest she has ever been and certainly one of the leanest competitors here. Some carbs and water would solve that problem most likely and could make a huge difference in how she looks tonight if she were to do that this afternoon as she is not that far beyond where she needs to be.

She will place well here but if she were a little fuller she could probably challenge for one of the top spots.www.bodysport.com (http://www.bodysport.com)

We are back for the night show and this place is SOLD OUT!! The auditorium is full to capacity and there is a large open area about the same size where the booths are just outside the auditorium where he has sold out all the standing room tickets as well. He has a big screen here playing the show live. Its an awesome setup and a very successful show.

Talking to a lot of the girls backstage. Felicia is very happy with her progress and both she and Kristi are really and truly happy for each other. Krissy Chin worked on her posing and I think she will present better with what she was showing me backstage. She looks so good and has come so far this year, its great to be here to see it all come together.

Ann Titone was booked for surgery to repair the scars she has on her hips and legs from the car wreck she was in years ago but is now considering holding off so she can do the Kentucky show. In her words, "I got the bug!"

Kristin Nunn is chatting with Ana right now about coming to Vegas this week to work for a trade show working for VPX. She is such a sweetheart and a very pretty girl. She was concerned about whether or not it would be a good time so Ana was assuring her that yes, Las Vegas for a couple days she could probably find something fun to do! :D Just playin Kristin!!

I went to the pre-judging yesterday and all of the ladies were gorgeous!! It was a great show and a tough line up! Ann looked amazing and Akane's physique is ridiculous!! I also really loved the look that Kristi brought to this show, this is the best I have seen her look!! Congrats to everyone who competed and congrats to Kimbo too for the top 5! :yourock:

Hey SC Family,

Thank you everyone for your comments and opinions. I must admit, I had high expectations for myself going into this show. In the end I was very please with my placing and hope that I can carry this momentum going into the Sacramento Pro in 3 weeks.

The Border States had a line up of incredibly conditioned athletes. The pictures really do not do us athletes justice (sorry photographers, not your fault but somethings just look better in person).

I'm proud of my fellow newbie Ann Titone for also giving the "veteran" pros a run for their money. As I said to Jack & Ann, us new pros are different breed and we're ready to make some changes. I love this sport!

This weekend was so much fun....i am so happy i got the chance to meet some of the new girls!!!! I am glad I had the chance to share the stage with all of those beautiful and amazing women this weekend:)
