Update - July 22nd, 2009!
The OPA events being held on September 19th, October 3rd, November 7th and November 21st will NOT qualify athletes for any CBBF events and are not recognized by the CBBF.
================================================== ==
I got this from the cbbf website. I guess the Ontario athletes are collateral damage in the on going CBBF - OPA (ontario physique association) dispute.
Looks like no one from Ontario will be able to qualify for the provincials in these contests. Why penalize athletes because they are from Ontario.
Too bad the CBBF feels that way about Ontario athletes. In my opinion, they are shooting themselves in the foot, and are driving athletes to join the new organizations WBFF, WNSO, UFE, IDFA which have gotten their start in Ontario and are spreading to other parts of Canada and the US. Soon the CBBF will be wondering what happened when their popularity goes down even more than it is today and the other organization gains strength and popularity.
