View Full Version : Shape rewarded at this show.
I love the look they are rewarding at Jr. USAs. It is possible that they are liking more muscle again? Bikini winners seems quite the opposite. Are they trying to send a message?
Or does the look vary from National show to National show?
No complaints; just wondering.

I was pretty happy w/ some of the Top 5 winners. IMO some were able to get away w/ a little more muscle mass than previous Nat'l shows.
I dunno about them liking more muscle....just some competitors are able to pull it off better than others...I hope that makes sense. But, I'm not get'n any clear messages on my end.

I think we should NOT make any conclusions. Every time we have made them, its been different way in next show. And again good to remember, every line up is different, and of course the line up affects on what u award - u have to pick the winner of the girls u have on stage and on the other hand, u cannot award such a package they think its ideal if there is no such in line up.
So I would not make any conclusions.....

Very true, but there should be a distinction between bikini and figure so theres no confusion.

as one of the guys who judged this event, I went with what I felt was closest to the "ideal" that we're looking for and went from there! ;-)

Did Alyssa have a better physique than the woman who placed ahead of her in Charleston?

ONLY REPEATING WHAT WAS SAID TO ME:
I saw one of the judges at the weigh-in meeting and when I asked him how he saw the figure trend for htis new year, and with the introduction of bikini, he said that he thought the judging might lean a little to the more muscular side for this particular show (than the shows last year) and attributed it a female "head" being in California for the California Pro.

Thanks Sioux! I just emailed him.
Like many, i will be thrilled if we can get back to the more muscular look from a few years ago. I was very pleased to see how the placings went in Charleston. Much different from last year. We can only hope that is stays consistent through the rest of the national shows.
