Athena will be guest posing at my show!!!! I can't wait.

We are hosting our 8th Annual Show again this year, in

freakin' having a blast up here with my figure competitor Sandy Gidda & my bodybuilder Renata Turco who's here to start her big comback
the adventure started early in the day for us
I was so excited i was up at 2am
then Sandy and i were travelling in to airport in her car
hit major traffic :banghead:
Renata driven by her dad coming from another direction was also running late
so all 3 of us missed our plane and had to catch the next one few hrs later
and none of us ever have missed planes before :rofl:
everything happens for a reason cuz if Sandy & i had made the plane Renata woulda been crying having a panic attack, so whatever its only money !!
i rented a mini van which got sent to another town lucky for me
cuz we got a gorgeous suburban instead
YAHOOO, COUNTRY, BIG TRUCK, GREAT CONTINGENT OF COMPETITORS FOR TEAM FIT BODY, WE GOT OUR AFTER SHOW RESTAURANTS AND PARTY PLACES PICKED OUT, I GOT COOL CRYSTALS AND A HORSE STATUE FOR MY SON STORM, AND WE'RE HAVING A FREAKIN BLAST :awesome:

I love fort st john --- it is a show and place so close to my heart --- the crowds are always amazing and jeni puts on the best show ever!!!!! I still remember your basement rec room FILLED from top to bottom with goodie bags for the competitors!!!!! GOOD STUFF!!! she spoils us!!!!

Good luck team fit body ---- dawn, your spirit is amazing, :respect:even dieting you have so much positive energy and just hold it together --- not sure what I would have been doing if I'd have missed the plane --- crying quite possibly!!! good luck to your team --- enjoy your after party cheat meals!!!

Before Jeni gets the chance to I'm going to tell you all what a gong show my day has been so far. Not that I had anything to do with it but our plane was delayed by an hour so meals are now late. Then I wasn't sure that my music disc was going to work. Thank you Jeni and her tech guy for making sure it would be ok. And now to top it all off I realized that I have forgotten my costume at home!!! Again Jeni to the rescue. She must think I am a complete flake. I don't blame her lol The past few weeks have been...well I don't even know how to describe them. I have not been sleeping well, or at all some days, and it is obviously catching up to me. If my head was not attached.......:banghead: Hopefully a different bed will bring me some much needed deep REM slumber.

What was the turn out last year?

last year there was 1 heavyweight which my girl won
and she was also in masters which there was only 2 in
so really turnout the same as last year 2008

I'm doing my part in trying to bring up womens bodybuilding numbers
i recently talked to a highschool teacher in langley asking him to see if any highschool girls would be interested in competing in bodybuilding
i started working with one last week
when she asked me what the cost was
i told her i'd train her for free as long as she would put forth the effort
it's little things like this that each and everyone one of us can do
in order to promote and grow womens bodybuilding ;)

and total agreement with the figure short girl, VERY NICE PACKAGE
pretty girl, in great shape, nice amount of muscle, lean, very nice
i said when she walked out to my girl in audiance with me that she'll be hard to beat for the overall

but then anyone who's ever seen Athena onstage already knows what an incredible poser & bodybuilder she is :respect:

I'm so very proud of my Team Fit Body Athletes I brought up to this show
huge personal achievements for some of them
and i've been training a few of them for a couple years
so finally gettin to watch them walk out onstage lookin incredible
knowing the work we've done
was absolutely awesome
its these moments i live for
knowing the obstacles we've overcome to finally make it
i have the utmost respect for anyone who steps onstage
many say they wanna do a show
not many actually make it
it's more than just competing
it's growing as a person
to ME bodybuilding teaches you things that most people cannot fathom
dedication, perseverence, committment, focus, vision, stick-to-it-ness, discipline, self-responsibility, motivation, drive, persistence
NOTHING BUILDS CHARACTER LIKE THE PROCESS IN DOING A SHOW

I COMMEND ALL THE ATHLETES THAT MADE IT
AND I LOOK FORWARD TO WATCHING SOME OF THEM MOVE THRU THE RANKS
ONWARD AND UPWARD

She has to qualify first at Provincials in 7 wks. I think that she will. And hopefully she does Nats. I spoke to her backstage. She is very motivated to move up the ranks. I don't think a pro card is that far out of her reach if she continues the way she is, but that's just MO.

Z I was so freaking nervous.....not even funny!!!! Seriously..not funny. It's so different when ALL eyes are on you. I am so not used to being the center of attention. It's much easier when I had all of you standing beside me lol

The four overall winners were:
short- Shannon Davies
med-Erin Buckley
med/tall- Nicole Morgan
tall- Clare Flewelling

I'm sure they all will be at the BC's this year.
The calaber of woman at this show this weekend was out standing!
The top 3 in each class, very good. I can't wait to see the BCs, its going to be a tough show.

This was Shannons second show. She did the northern classic a few years back placing second back then. She is a total sweetheart, she even made the long drive from Prince George to Edmonton to watch me at the canadian nationals the year I won my pro card and celebrated with us. Shes a classy gal! And yes I agree is going to be hard to beat at the BC level for sure. Total package, got to love the muscle!!!
