on my son. He's been traveling Asia since Jan. Today I got the most AWESOME images of him trekking Mt. Everest. Just wanted to share since I am so damn proud of him! He started in Beijing, China then went thru China, down to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and now India.

He is a free lance photojournalist....his work can be seen here www.adamsvisuals.com or flickr acct...

Thank you. I am very proud. He's off doing something that people usually only dream of doing and he's doing them at an young age of 23. Experiences that will truly last his lifetime.

A few more from India. The ones all painted are from Holi, which is the festival of colors honoring the arrival of Spring. A monkey...having a coke moment, then a Sherpa (spelling may be off) trekking up or down a Mountain.

Lada...Isn't it crazy how expensive BBing can be? But its something we love. ;)

Cal...he is total living his dream. Some of the emails he has sent recapping where he has been are awesome and some on the verge of being nuts since he is traveling by himself staying in guest houses and such. But it may be a once in a lifetime thing...so ya gotta just go and do it when ya can.

Sioux..this is what I got this morning when I woke up...

back in kathamndu.
its hot. noise, full of dust. but shit. coke is only 20 rs, not 250rs.
power is free and internet is cheap.

:-)

and the food is better.

I did email back to see how much longer he will be in India and where he is heading after that. I should post the email adventure he did for Holi in Japuir when he jumped in the back of a truck with men that did not speak a lick of English..nor him any Hindi. lol

Sioux....his answer is here:

my plans are following during my time in asia.
this weekend kathmandu, then on tuesday, i am going to head to pokara.
rent a motorbike and ride around the valley until saturday, then come
back to kathmandu.
then on monday the 27th. i start vipassana meditation. this last for 10
days. there will be no internet or calls during this time.
www.dhamma.org

then it ends on the 8th. i will stay in kathamandu or pokara before
flying to delhi, then to europe on the 13th.

this allows me stay away from india during the 100+ degree weather and
election voilents/protest, et. plus india is a shit hole.

I promise he is mine. I was 19 when I had him, he's my only child. :)

I am happy that he's getting to do all these things.

He sent more pics yesterday and posted more on his flikr acct.

Indiana Jones is fine with me as long as he doesn't have people shooting or chasing after him. ;)
