I had the pleasure of being there and let me tell you that she looked super great as usual! Her routine was fun to watch (Star Trek theme)... She simply rocked!

I did ask for feedback from all the judges on what I can do to win. They told me that:

1. I had to be darker - which hurt me (that I can fix...yay!)
2. Had no waist
3. Am limited by my genetics, and have a long torso
4. Routine needs more dance
5. Posing is good
6. Beautiful girl with great stage presence
7. Am too lean, or cut and need to come in fuller

wow -- I read the blog and Allison you really are a wonderful gal!!!!! It always makes me feel better as a competitor, mom and person to share in your journey and know I am not alone when it comes to second place finishes, second guessing if there shoulde be a next show and trying to juggle the family, competing and work.

You are an amazing lady --- congrats on what has been a great year for you...... so far --- only to get better and better!!!

congrats Allison! it's not a bad thing to reflect and remember why you do this. I'm sure your down time with your family will help! and yes it's a hobby... good attitude girl. When it becomes your job then it's no longer fun, you're an inspiration to all of us who think we don't have time in our lives to get things done... see you soon I hope!

I thought I brought a good shape, and routine. So I was happy with that.

I was told by someone at the show - who helped with judging that Sylvia has her pro card "in her back pocket". That she will win in August. Why would he tell me that? His comments really hurt my feelings. I truly believe that people are generally good, and that politics don't play a role, but statements like this make a person wonder.

I will bring my game to Nationals. I already have my flight.

If the decision has already been made, that is fine, but I will fight for that top spot as well.

20 weeks to bring something that will blow them away!!!!!!!

I don't get it because your physique is by far way better. I haven't seen your routines yet, but your body, WOW - there is just no competition there :respect:

it sure would be nice to see some pics! there is NOTHING on-line and it's a national show! let us know when you get some pics of the show, or hear of where they are posted! congrats on your placing and train hard for the next one. btw i think that person was just 'talking out of their ass'. i don't believe the judges have any conspiracy...in general i think the cdn judges truly do their best to be as fair as possible so just stay focussed and kick some ass in august. :)

Politics definately play role, its sad but i think its very true. But you definately bring your "A" when you compete and have a great physique, how long can they keep a great competitor down if you keep banging at the door, eventually your going to end up kicking that door right down. Keep your head up.

Congrats on your placing again.

Don't let the "politics" drag you down :banghead:. Deanne had to go through the exact same thing you are battling right now. First in '06 . Then again in '07. It was very frustrating & she just used it as motivation. In '07 we thought she had it and ended up 3rd. First and second tied with 30 points & Deanne was 3rd with 31 pts.

All you can do is persevere & continue to make improvements.

BTW who is training you? Just curious.

Stay focused you ROCK on stage!!!;)

We all had to go through it. Especially in Canada with so few pro card opportunities. Its tough, but it makes you a better competitior. Go in there with fire in your heart and show them what you got! You can do it! And remember its not uncommon for 1 and 2nd place to get their pro cards in canada either!
