IFPA Pro Qualifier – Coverage in Fitness & Physique Magazine
Divisions: Men’s Bodybuilding: Teen, 101, Novice, 40+, 50+, Open Women’s
Bodybuilding: Teen, Open Figure: 101, Novice, 35+, Open. (Pro Qualifier)
Division Details:
101: Open only to those who have not participated in a competition ever before, in any federation.
Novice Division: Open only to those who have not placed first in any class besides Teen within any division in the same category (Ex. Figure) with any organization (unless you were the only competitor in the class). Eligibility will be verified during polygraph testing.
Masters Division: Open only to those falling into the stipulated age range (Ex. 40+ is age forty and over).
Open Division: Open to anyone regardless of age and level of experience.
Classes: Classes will be split evenly by height in the manner specified by the OCB Guidelines on www.theOCBwebsite.com
Crossovers: A “crossover” is entering more than one division. For example, someone may enter the Novice division, if eligible, and also elect to crossover into the Open division to compete as well.
Check In: 8:30 am at Clarkstown South High School. Anyone checking in late will not be allowed to compete. Polygraphs and check-in available on Friday at Premier Fitness starting at 2 pm to 8 pm. Call Premier Fitness for appointments starting March 30, 2009.
Fees: Entry $50 if postmarked by March 30th. $75 if postmarked after March 30th. Crossover entries $30 per additional class. OCB Membership $50, Polygraph Testing $40. Walk-in entries the day of the event will not be accepted.
Tickets: Adult General Admission $25, Under Age 12 General Admission $10, Trainers Ticket $40. All tickets are good for both show times. Admission is the same price whether or not you attend both. Tickets are available at the door the day of the event.
Drug Testing: Polygraph testing for all bodybuilding and figure competitors. $40 payable by cash or money order to the polygraph examiner at the time of testing. Photo identification required. Results from recent polygraph exams performed for other contests will not be honored. It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure they are polygraph tested for the event. If any competitor is not tested for the event, they are ineligible for competition. Urine testing is required for Figure Open, Men’s Bodybuilding Open, and Women’s Bodybuilding Open overall winners (in addition to their polygraph tests). Urine samples will be collected immediately after the conclusion of the show. It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure a sample is provided before leaving the event. If competitors do not provide samples eligibility for IFPA pro competition will be void. Additionally, all competitors are subject to additional forms of testing if requested at the discretion and expense of the promoter. Promoter will contact entrants 1-2 weeks before the show to schedule appointments for polygraph testing. Testing will be done the night before the contest and early Saturday.
Backstage Policy: One assistant per competitor allowed. Assistant MUST buy a trainers ticket.
Routines: Routine length is 60 seconds for bodybuilding. Figure competitors may use house music at finals or may furnish their own music. If electing to supply your own music for the stage walk, at least 90 seconds of music should be provided. Music can be faded out as competitors exit the stage area if it is longer than actually needed. Music is to be provided on CD only. CD’s are to have only one track on them. No profanity please.
