Hey Kelley...FYI, if you ever get the chance to see Oksana's routine in person, make it happen! She is a breath of fresh air and a great athlete. But, do not let pictures fool you! She really is not that big. Here is a pic of her standing next to my wife Roxana (who says she is 5'3", but I think a touch shorter :)) at the Olympia. We did her color that year when she did what has become, her signature routine.

Well, I'm sure you know most of us...rather it is bb, figure, or fitness pose every now and then. Now that I t hink about it, I don't know a competitor who hasn't done a "BB pose" at one time or another.

Her routine may appear boring 2u, but her skill set/strength moves run circles around most of the pros.

Wow.. I can't imagine someone not admiring her grace, strength and athleticism... I think it's quite unfortunate that you didn't find the beauty and tremendous skills that she incorporates in her routines.. her routines are breathtaking.

I love her routines....SO strong, such grace...the dancer in me really admires her! AND it looks like she has changed her body a lot- as long as she stays nice and full, and not overly lean, she just might blow a few fish out of the water!

"I caught up with Russian superstar Oksana Grishina last weekend in Las Vegas as she prepares for her return to the Arnold stage. Oksana made her Arnold debut last year but placed out of the top six. Known for her incredible routine, she is back and ready to redeem herself. Some people think that because her routine is slower paced it isn’t as difficult. I disagree on that sentiment and would challenge anyone to perform the routine she does. Her moves are precise and the years of gymnastic training is obvious. She assures me she will have a different routine at the Arnold and has worked on improving her physique. Oksana’s English has greatly improved and she’s able to communicate very well now. Second this. What's more, all that strength comes through visually in the fine details of Oksana's physique (and this was twice as true when she competed in Europe and could come in harder). Her calves look that strong ... her tibialis anterior muscles look that strong ... heck, even the tendons of her ankles and feet look powerful. Usually an afterthought, but when she does her routines barefoot, it's apparent.
