Hey everyone
As mentioned in the thread title, this will be my first show ever
I am really excited, and since I live in Columbus I don't have to worry so much about trip planning as such
However, I am unsure of the tickets I should get
http://arnoldsportsfestival.com/tickets/
Like I see there is an Expo, after party, the contests themselves, VIP passes, etc
What would be the recommendation, tickets and events wise, for a first timer?

As a sidenote, I might take some friends who are not into BB as much, so I have to be considerate. Also, since I will be here next year as well, I don't have to soak it all in this year, since I can go again.

Thank you for the help, and I am looking forward to seeing all, if not most, of you there :)

Happy MLK day!

I wouuld definitely recommend you purchase your expo tickets through ticketmaster...or, since you live there you may want to check and see if you can go to the box office to get them. The line for tixs last year was unreal!!!

Since you have your friends who are new to BB you may just want to get to the convention early Saturday morning to watch the finals of the amateur bb,fitness, figure and the PRO pre-j'n for fitness and figure. That will give them a chance to experience the sport w/o dropping a load of money for the tickets.

Kenyatta had good advice! That's what I would suggest also. The night show is really cool to watch, but really expensive so if your friends aren't THAT into it, then it might not be worth it. The expo is a blast, I think anyone can have fun there, there's free products, beautiful people, fun things going on, its nuts! The expo is friday, saturday and sunday, I think Sunday is my favorite day to go walk around because it isn't as busy. Saturday is shoulder to shoulder busy it's hard to walk around. You will love it!

I agree with the Saturday thing.... It's absolutely nuts on Saturday... If you can avoid it you should unless you really want to watch the on stage stuff...

It's open seating for the show....get to the expo by 9am and you should be able to get a seat!!! I got there late last year but a friend was able to save me a seat!!

Thank you for your help everyone

I think that the easiest thing to do with friends would probably be go to the expo on sunday, since it is nicer to walk around and such. I just hope some of you haven't left by then :)

I am not sure that my friends are interested in the contests themselves, so I think it will be a nice entry point. Maybe next year they might want to check out more stuff.

However, I will do my best to check out as much as I can myself, even if I have to go by myself to the prejudging and such.

If anyone has anything else to add, I ask you to please share. I really have no idea what to expect, but I am sure I will be blown away, especially by the beautiful women of this board.

Have a great evening everyone :)

Yes...you will be blown away -- you can expect that.

The women on this board look much better in person than in these pictures. They look fantastic on stage, under the lights and in their costumes.

And the vendor booths? IMHO, you will see more pretty ladies behind the counters than at any beauty show in the world. Unlike beauty shows, where there are fifty meters of stage and orchestra pit and ushers between you and the contestants, at the Arnold Classic you can talk to them and they will talk with you, too.
