Marie is a member of this board, but very busy. A very nice lady, and hope to see her around here later in the year. :)

Mercedes Khani was the first persian figure competitor to turn pro. She resides in The Netherlands. She turned pro in january 2007.

Very cool, I thought she turned pro in 2006.

Noup, in 2007 she competed in Swedish Team in European Championships and after that, in the summer, she got her pro card.

If I remember right, no other new pros from Scandinavia in 2007. Not sure about the other countries in Europe..

Thank you everybody for the nice words. I will do my best to represent Europe on the pro stage. I plan to make my pro debut in 2010. Maybe Arnold would be a good step as it is in the beginning of the year, but I will decide when the time comes.
In the meantime I wanna add a bit more quality mass on my frame but I want to do it wise that is why I think taking more time than just 8-10 months for an offseason to get there is a good approach.

Ciao Alina, and congratulations again for your well deserved victory (HW Class & Overall too). It has been an honor for me to be there in the audience supporting you.
As I told your husband at the hotel, the evening before the finals, I think you are the best "role model" around today, both for the younger female athletes and for the fans. I was glad to see the judges had the same opinion!
I especially admired the class and understatement you showed at the very last moment on stage, when you knew you had won.
