I have always wanted to try Yoga. I did hire a private instuctor for one session as I didn't feel too comfortable with her. I would liek to hear your experience as this is something I would like to get into as it will help me with my bodybuilding and everyday life.

I have been practicing yoga for 6 or 7 years now as well as teaching it for the last few. I love it and there is nothing better for relieving tension and soreness. When you are done with a really good session you feel loose as a goose. It's better than a massage! Well, almost better :)

i have tried it... but had a problem with just letting my mind go and not thinking about all the drama or problems in my life.. we have a Birkam (hot) yoga place here by the new apartment and thought about trying that. I heard its awesome

I did yoga at my gym for quite awhile but once i began prep for jr nats last year i stopped it was one extra trip to the gym i did not want to make

I have more muscle now so i think i would have even more prob gtting into poses then i did before

I am debating trying again but am so tight i don't think i could do any of it. I can't even sit on the floor with my hand on the floor behind me pecs and delts too tight

Love it! Another way to challenge yourself physically and mentally and agree with the loossey goosey description above.

Bikram is hard core, but if you like swimming in your own sweat and the stench from others it might be your thing.

Hatha and Vinyasa to me are more relaxing, Ashtanga if you want a workout too!

why dont you try pilates? It's strength and flexibility in the same exercises - great ab/lower back and glute work! I've been teaching for 5 years now - 10 classes a week and I love what it does for me! My class members range from age 15 - 87 and they have all benefitted! some are taller, and all are stronger - from push ups to planks it will definitely benefit even and awesomely amazing body like yours! :awesome:

I used to do yoga. It's cool but idk, I think I'm just too high-strung for it. The whole sitting still thing is hard for me.

i have been doing power yoga for the last 6 weeks and love it. it is done in a hot room, about 100 degrees, so you sweat a lot! i am mainly doing it for flexibility, but it definitely helps with balance and muscular endurance as well. but your mind has got to be right when you practice. i have noticed a big difference in my performance depending on my mental outlook for the day!

I teach Pilates as well and most people are hooked once they try it.

It is awesome... you sweat like a pig... in the end of the 1hr n 30 min, you will feel so relaxing and energized... I haven't done it since last year.

Love both Yoga and Pilates! Very good for balancing your body. My whole right side of my body is always much tighter than the left. Bikrams's (hot yoga) is awesome! Cleansing....we used to go after practices for wrestling and judo....loosens up your entire body.

I like to do the yoga on fittv, in the privacy of my own home, so when I look silly nobody knows!

LOL! :D

i feel like an elephant trying to do the splits when i do yoga. although i do think its a great exercise activity for so many reasons. maybe i'll try a class here in okinawa, i havn't tried one here yet so maybe it's a dift. kind.

prob is i'm like chicky, i kind of got bored too, the 60 minutes was too long for me to sit still. i guess that's part of the 'yoga challenge' though right? something about focussing your mind? ;)

Definitely thinking of going back to yoga and/or pilates. Since I've gotten more and more into the off-season, especially since I've been going balls to the wall on legs, My hamstrings, hips, and glutes are just ridiculously tight.

Haha, my adderall doesn't even do that for me! (hardcore ADHD here lol) Maybe that's something I need though...I'm always so strung out!
