Melody (NYStrongFox) was injured during fitness practice a few days ago. She will be getting a MRI this week.

On the F class I noticed the same thing.....Monique has been getting a tremendous amount of press, but Alicia and MJ was definitely tighter. I agree about Akane. I couldn't tell from the pics why he had Sharlyn (sp) #1...but maybe it was the lighting.

I'm done for this season. I want to be 100% the next time I step on stage! I am already working on getting a bit more streamlined and compact for next year. I've completely changed how I train and I'm staying only 8pds from comp weight in offseason and bringing my legs down. I plan on doing Jr. Nationals as my first comp next year!

My guess is they penalize her for her muscular lower body. She is aware of this, as she recently asked how she could reduce her calf size. Of course she looks incredible. Some pics remind me of Gina Aliotti.

Ann came in lighter for the Team U and tighter for prejudging, I filled her out for the night show. I was not able to travel due to work schedule and I could not make the needed adjustments before prejudging and could not fill her out and I think she was a little nervous about spilling over. Not making excuses, just the way it goes sometimes in this sport.

Ann had a great 2008 and she should hold her head high. Another member on this board, Jen Kline also had a great year the both of them are friends.

For all the athletes keep on trying and your day will come. Ann ways ready to walk away from the sport a few years ago. Lucky for us, Jay Cutler is good friends of ours and spoke to us, we took some time off and re group. We have fun with it now and try to be positive regardless of the outcome. Since relaxing a bit, but still staying focused her placing have improved in the process and Jay Cutler still calls or text us each show wishing her luck!

Hey guys :waving: Shannon and Shelly LOL, you guys are great. Thanks for your help. My thumbs are sore from texting lol. It was a great show and overall I think they did a great job getting it moving smoothly, though the intro part was a little long.

When they called out top 5 in each class, I was typing to text to the girls as soon as they were announcing names, so my olny down part would be spelling names correctly. I think I butchered some. Sorry ladies.

What could I say? Akane the best girl in the all shows still walking without pro card. Ridiculous. Many are saying tha she is penalized bc of having too big legs/calves but let me ask.. why so many girls are not penalized bc lack of symmetry, lack of v taper, lack of x frame, lack of everything, lack of all those good things that Akane has ? And in my opinion those legs with wide shoulders gives her perfect x-frame.. Well maybe it is good balance if you dont have simply nothing. Have to add that of course A class had many good girls in, definitely.

There was a mix in physiques for sure and it's still confusing on what they want. Some of the girls I talked to all said the same thing...they were told they were too hard. I don't know. Some girls won't look conditioned if they don't come in hard. They had very feminine, shapely physiques, but looked too hard :confused: We're not all built the same. Akane did look very good. I hope she keeps pressing on.

I was there in person 2nd row for pjudging and while akane should have been 5th IMO, she was not the best at this show as you state. I can already sense your whining as usual as far as the judging is concerned. I thought for the MOST part the judging was on point except for a few placings here and there.

Second pic was at the restaurant and it's Caroline Hernandez. I met Caroline backstage at the Atlantic States, where she won the overall open and won Masters. Had to take a pic of the moment of her celebrating the end of her 2008 season. Yummy! Good luck next year girl. :waving: I also invited her over here!

Ann's fine with her placing for this show she met and made many new friends and received tremendous feedback regarding her look this week. I told her you were in better shape just a little to light from last week showing so that's an easy fix. :popcorn:

Regarding your comment about seeing Ann turning pro someday, we have heard this lot lately at the shows she has entered this year from perfect strangers and athletes in and out of her class, so we take that as a compliment. This is what fuels her to try harder.

On top of everything did there need to be a hurricane this past weekend??? I had a great time watching the show and a lot of amazing athletes on the stage. I think that everyone did an amazing job and should be proud. :respect:
