The promoters are John Tuman & Ted Williamson. Both International IFBB & NPC Judges.

Sandi Williamson (The women's chairperson for the NPC/IFBB) will be the head judge. This is the only regional show she judges.

This show is two weeks before the NPC National Championships. This show gives NPC bodybuilders and figure competitors an opportunity to be judged by Sandi and other National judges at the regional level before being judged at the National level by many of the same judges.

Those on the West Coast are very fortunate to be able to do a show judge my Sandy W. so close to Nationals.....it's only 2 weeks, but enough time 2 manipulate water/carbs if too hard. The feedback going into Nationals could make all the difference.

I AM WORKING, NOT COMPETING. I AM WEARING A HALLOWEEN COSTUME TOO!!!!! I AM NOT TELLING WHAT I WILL BE EITHER. ACTUALLY, I STILL HAVEN'T DECIDED. SHOULD I BE A GOODIE, GOODIE LIKE AN ANGEL OR MAYBE IS SHOULD BE A BADDY BAD LIKE ELVIRA, MISTRESS OF THE DARK!!!

HALLOWEEN IS MY VERY FAVORITE HOLIDAY OF THE YEAR. I AM VERY IMMATURE ABOUT IT ALL TOO. LOTS OF FUN AND I LOVE TO GET SCARED!!!

I have always wanted to attend and this year I have a good excuse as Fizeek Brazil is one of the Sponsors and we will have a booth.

Even though I will be carb depleted as it is 3 weeks before Nationals, I am still looking forward to it.

Yay Desha, your doing the show!!! I can wait to see ya :) I am soo excited two years ago I did this show as an amateur and won the overall in the open and masters.. The judges told me to go to nationals and get my pro card.. Of which I laughed turning pro was never my goal! Never in a million years did I think that was possible. So, for me this is surreal that it happend and I now return to the same stage as a pro!!!!! The best part is I live on 35 min away.
If anyone needs anything just let me know I can haul it up!

Nancy Jambazian is available for hair and make up. She is fantastic girls and is taking bookings right now. She often works with Elaine Goodlad and was actually the person who inspired Elaine before she started! Limited spaces are available so you need to get in quick. At the Sacramento Pro Figure Championships just a week away, one IFBB Pro plans to wind up her rookie season. Hard to think of Tanya Merryman as a “rookie”, but it is her first year competing in the IFBB. As a top fitness competitor in her early 20’s, Tanya established herself as one of the best before spending some time away from the sport. Last year she returned and ultimately earned her pro card in Fitness, fighting injuries along the way. She made her pro debut at the 2008 Arnold Classic, sustaining another injury during the show. Not one to let a little pain get in the way of her competition plans, Tanya shifted gears and started competing in Pro Figure.....

An update from Figure Pro Rosa-Maria Romero:

The meeting went really well. John, Ted and Sandy all there. There is something about the Sacramento Pro. Everyone is so relaxed and friendly. I had a great time here last year and I am sure this year will be the same.

Two competitors were not present at the meeting - Maria Consuelo and someone else so that numbers are still not confirmed.

Isaac and JM were taking lots of pics so I'm sure they will pop up here very soon!

Oh and before I forget, we are on tomorrow at around 12pm and will be finished by 8:30pm.

The one piece division just concluded for the pro figure. The top three look to be Huong Arcinas, Jamie Ford and April Fortier. Kristin Nunn could move into the third spot but looks to be in the fourth spot. Rounding out the top six should be Michelle Flake and Desha Rodriquez. If I were judging I’d give Huong the nod for first. She told me she came in a little lighter than the Olympia. Huong found a nice balance for this show and it looks like she brought her legs down just a bit. April Fortier showed up looking her best ever especially from the rear poses. Jamie Ford looks like she will prove the Hardody readers right and place the highest in the rookie ranks. Kristin Nunn isn’t done though. She could move up though as she looks her best to date. Momma Flake and Desha both look good but not quite as sharp as the other four.

The two piece round should start in about a half hour. We’ll see if there are any changes to the top six. This is a very competive show. Stay tuned

Hi everyone,

Just quickly before I head back....This would have to be the best line up I have seen all year. Sandy even said so after the one piece round. Everyone is tight and looking their best. Big top quality line up.

Stopped off at Starbucks with Aida and Darlena on the way back to the hotel. We are heading back to the venue at 7:30pm. Pro Figure should be done by 8:30pm.

I have to say Jaime Ford is simply stunning and is someone to watch next year. Tiny and tight and the looks to go very far. Well done to Jaime on her first Pro Show...x

Thank you Sue. Just bumped into April down at breakfast and she has a huge smile on her face. She tells me she celebrated by going to the Cheesecake factory last night with Darlina and then to the after party. I was meant to go with them but I pulled the pin. Once the make up came off there was no way I was going anywhere!

The race for the ’09 Figure Olympia has officially begun, with the action getting starting at the Sacramento Pro on November 1 and the competition picking up pretty much where it left off before the ’08 Olympia Weekend. Huong Arcinas, third at the Tournament of Champions on September 20, elevated to the top of the lineup, scoring her first pro victory and knocking a couple of foregone conclusions out of the foreground. As so often happens in the quarter-turn-for-quarters ranks, a couple of newcomers stole into the judges’ hearts to round out the top three and earn the two other Olympia qualifications up for grabs. The vivacious Jamie Ford (formerly Costa), who got her pro card by winning the A-class at the USA in July, surprised no one by taking second in her pro debut. The talented April Fortier, seventh at the TOC and at the Cal last spring, also didn’t surprise as she moved into the contenders’ category with a third-place finish.
