I'm counting the days...4 now to be exact....till I leave on the cruise. I keep watching hurricane Gustav, but looks like it will turn left and stay outta my way. I'd really hate to lose out on any buffet time next week.

What are your goals for New York, and for the rest of the competition year? Will you be back in your home state to compete in November?

I am planning on looking my best in New York by bringing myself in tighter and harder, yet still feminine. My goal this season has been to improve after each show and I would love to place in the top 12 before it is over. I earned my pro card last year at the New York show, so I feel very comfortable competing there. I am also looking forward to cheering on five friends that train with Ernie who are trying to earn their pro cards. Go Ernie's Elite Team!

I would love to compete in the Olympia and that will continue to be my motivation to train hard this off season so I can make the necessary improvements. I would like to compete in Sacramento and again in my home town of Louisville this November, but I will have to decide that after the New York show. If my placing isn't where I want it to be than I am going to enjoy a long off season and work on my weaknesses (I know my husband will be happy). It will also give me time to build my business and to hopefully, get involved in the fitness modeling industry!

What are your goals for New York, and for the rest of the competition year? We believe you will get a "Big O" invitation during the next two weekends, but do you plan to continue your quest in Anaheim if necessary?

I would be lying if I was to say I wasn't in it to win it. I firmly believe that if I do everything right, I mean everything, I have a great shot at taking home the NY PRO title. I never train to be second, call me crazy but I am just that competitive by nature and I always have been since as long as I could remember. I am also realistic and I do realize that considering the caliber of women competing in New York it is going to be a battle. You have women who have qualified for the Olympia already as well as women who have placed top 5 this year like myself who just missed an Olympia qualification. Plus, you have newcomers on the stage so it really is anyone's show that is why I need to do EVERYTHING right. New York is my hometown, where I was born and raised and it is also where I got my PRO card last year. I truly believe that things happen for a reason and that includes the timing and the place in which it occurs. If I do not get an Olympia qualification in New York then I hope to in its neighboring state of New Jersey ... LOL. Then if by some chance it does not happen in my old stomping grounds, I will need to re-evaluate and I will not be competing in Anaheim. I will just be a spectator in Anaheim cheering on my fellow PROs and friends like Meriza DeGuzman!

Of course my ultimate goal would be to qualify for the Olympia but I would be satisfied with a top 10 finish. I like to focus on one show at a time so for now all I am thinking about is New York, then I will see how I feel and decide from there what I will do next.

An update on Krissy Chin.

We just got back from Daves room. I have not seen Krissy till today myself since tweds. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Krissy is the best she has ever looked-EVER! Waist is down an inch and shoulders are full, glutes frim but full and new customized suits. SO it is all she can do now. She should do well or if not, regroup and figure out what is next. I am very proud of her, she worked her little ass off (as I am sure each pro does!) I luv Huong's physique....when JulieAnn won at Jr. Nats I figured she'd be right up there w/ Lenay Hernandez for her pro debut. Just seems like JulieAnn has that look they are looking for.

Did you all notice JULIANA MALACARNE was in second call out.

She's usually penalized for her level of muscularity. I'm curious to see her pics. This could be her best placing yet.

Yep...I noticed that....Juliana has alot of muscle but that girl carries it really well. I wonder how she'd do in BB.

I usually compete in Fitness but am entering Figure for the first time in Kentucky... I have to give my knee a break and didn't want to wait until next year to be back on stage.. so I'm going to Kentucky :).. Let me know if you decide to go... we can hang out :)

I didn't even know Ziville was in the line-up. But, then again she is from NY, why wouldn't she do the show. I just saw her pics....She looks good!

Veteran IFBB Pro and Bodysport Correspondent Chaundra Tangi is on hand in New York covering the New York Pro Figure championships and has the following comments on the athletes in the first callout:

Jelena Abbou - Slightly fuller than she was in Dallas at the Europa but still tight. It’s will be easier to tell in the two piece but she definately stood out.

Huong Arcinas - Her legs are much tighter, the overall package is really starting to take shape for her, her stage presence is adorable, she has an enticing smile, great posing and lower body looks much better than she did her last show.

Candice John - Looks very good even though she carries a lot more muscle than the other competitors in the first round of callouts. She carries the muscle so well it doesn’t appear to be too much so the look is working well for her.

Ziville Raudoniene - She is in good condition, carries less muscle than the others in the first round of callouts but she is very balanced and has good proporions. Less muscle suits her body well so she looks very competitive even with less muscle than the others.

Julie Ann Kulla - This is her pro debut after earning her pro card in Chicago at the Jr. Nationals this year. She looks much better than she did in Chicago, more streamlined, she has a more healthy and robust look while staying tight and maintaining her muscle. Her ham/glute tie in was the tightest on stage.
