I arrived today!!! It's freezing..well maybe not...but I'm from North Carolina..so it's cold 2me. It's 21 degrees now, tonight's forcast is 13 degrees, w/ a wind chill of ZERO!!!!!

It was indead cold today, we went into downtown and checked out the area, it was freezing in the wind on the bridge over the river.. so we went back into a cab.. :cold1:

By the way, the first colour has been put on.. competition time soon to be.

and it can be 70 below outside but i bet it is HOT inside with all those people
shorts and tank for me would rather be cold a few minutes from parking to walking inside then be miserably hot all day in the expo

i don't do heat

well we definately wouldnt be compatible...i hate cold weather i say bring on the heat :D have a safe trip :)

no pics from me until I get home b/c well, this isn't my computer! hahaha...

definitely met Jose Canseco today...oh geez...I was in heaven...he blinked so we had to take another which meant I got to stand there even longer with my arm around him...and y'all, he's tall...I mean tall...

I have pics with Gregg V, Derek Anthony, Lori Steele, Krissy Chin, and then pics of pre-j...I was right front row on the side so I have lots of good glute shots...hahaha...and a great shot of how wide Yaxeni's back is even when relaxed...I'll be curious to see how they come out...

as for the pre-j, Kim Klein was first on the stage today and as soon as she came out I knew she had it...she looked AWESOME!!! Jen's abs were yummy...

when they did figure and they had Jen Gates and Gina next to one another during first callouts all we could do was look at Jen's quads...definite lines like no tomorrow...and of course Gina had lines all over per her usual shape...so me and Lori were like well, it's great to see they're sticking to that soft and athletic look...<insert sarcastic smiley here>

the fbbing was fun to watch...I was surprised by a few people, good and bad...was surprised to see Kristy in last callouts...everyone else was pretty much where I thought they should have been...I had Lisa as the winner for a while but then teetered b/w her and Yaxeni...I thought Cathy deserved 3rd or 4th...I figured Iris wouldn't win when she came out b/c she did look off...well, off for her...but something that bothered me was the big knot on her left glute...it was odd...but I didn't see anything that should have disqualified her...but that being said, I did think that Dayana would be DQed b/c she had some suit troubles and about two moves into her routine her bottoms were straight up her booty! I thought she might be DQed for having "thong-like" bottoms...they've done it in the past...but I guess the judges realized it was in place when she got there and then wasn't and was not a purposely tiny suit...

one fun thing I caught many competitors doing was looking at the big screens...when they turned to show the back I saw so many looking up at their back shots and adjusting...a few made some pretty funny faces...I think I got a shot of Jen H doing it during a side quarter turn...

Well I-75 is closed for part of the way, and the detour went clear over to your side of town (I-275) ... took me an hour to get that far.

Yep, all meals consumed. Timing of them was slightly off, though. :angel: It was not as hard as I'd feared.

They were both awesome to meet, and very friendly. What "kills" me about the Arnold crowd is that the ladies that work the booths where the high traffic is get a ton of attention ... but there are so many "outsiders" who attend the Arnold that if the ladies working the booths are in the lower traffic (relatively speaking) areas, people just walk by. Sheila was totally free to talk to me, since everyone was rushing by to where they assumed the cool stuff, like free T-shirts, was being given out. Unreal. I don't know how you walk by Sheila Bleck and not at least do a double-take.

And Timea, though in a slightly higher traffic area, actually looked lonely when I walked by her (and that was on Saturday)! That really surprised me, since she was just the Major Distraction in MD last month. But again, lots of outsiders and general public gawkers at the Arnold.

Funny story about that: I was just packing up autographed pictures of Yaxeni and of Tazzie Colomb, when I eavesdropped on two young-twenties guys around the MD booth.

1st guy (looking at Tazzie): What the (bleep) is going on here?!?

2nd guy: I have no idea, but she sure does have a big back!

It was truly as if they'd never even seen a picture of a female bodybuilder. Then again, at their age, neither had I. But ... umm ... they were at the Arnold ...

Annie was tremendously gracious and a pleasure to meet. This was in the lobby of Veteran's Memorial, about 20 minutes after the show ended on Friday evening. (In the one without me, note the famous GeneX at lower left, packing up his camera gear. It was great to meet Gene, too!)
