This actually makes a good appetizer for a holiday party.
Turkey Cranberry Wreath
2-8 oz pkgs crescent rolls
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 Tbs Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
2 cups cooked turkey
1/2 cup sliced celery
3 Tbs fresh snipped parsley
1/2 cup dried cranberries or cranraisins
1 cup shredded swiss or monterey jack cheese
1/4 cup walnuts or almonds
1 egg white
1. Preheat over at 375*F. Unroll crescent rolls and seperate into 16 triangles. With the wide end of the triangles toward the center of the round cooking pan. Corners of wide ends will touch and points will extend 1 inch
beyond the edge of the pan. (The first 8 rolls should make a full circle. The remaining 8 should be placed in the gaps from the first ring. It would look like a sunburst).
2. In a large bowl, mix mayo, mustard, and black pepper. Chop turkey into bite size pieces. Add turkey, celery, parsley, and cranberries to bowl. Add nuts and cheese; mix well. Using a med scoop, scoop filling over seams of dough, forming a circle.
3. Beginning at the top, lift one dough triangle and lay over the mixture. Continue alternating outer strips, slightly overlapping to form wreath. Tuck last end under first.
4. In a small bowl, beat egg white lightly. Brush over dough. Bake in pre-heated oven 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Enjoy!
