How much time during your prep, do you spend in the gym on average?

This prep or your last one (if you are currently in the off season). Average it out, I know many do more cardio closer to the show.

Per day, including cardio, I'm at 2.5-3 hours in the gym. Thankfully I have cardio at home, so about half of that time is at home.

I don't spend anywhere near that amount of time in the gym when I am off-season...being in the gym more during my prep is one of my coping mechanisms.

2-2.5 hours

that does not include the cardio that I did at home (I have a stairmaster in the middle of my living room)

Same here. I try to do cardio outside if it's nice out as well.

About 1.5 to 2hrs. 45 min-1 hr training session, 50 min of cardio...I have never had to do double cardio..execpt for one week only during prep last year and that was only an extra 25 min at night

On my lifting days, it was a total of 2.5-3 hrs, but most of my cardio was done at home. So that meant about an hour of lifting at the gym and 2 hours at home on the treadmill. Sometimes I spent more time at the gym so I could mix up the cardio- stepmill and elliptical.

2-3 hours for me. I try to get outside now in the mornings because at my gym, they don't turn on the lights in the morning (so dumb, it looks like a night club because the only lighting comes from the neon "cardio" and "weights" signs) so it feels like i'm in a cave! It just makes me want to go back to sleep LOL.

Otherwise, contest prep gym time is relative to how bad i was with offseason dieting LOL.

I KNOW I HAVE TO STEP UP MY GAME FOR MY NEXT HSOW, SO I'LL NOW BE DOIN' ABOUT 1HOUR:) I USE TO ONLY DO 30MINS, YET I THINK I DID GREAT IN EVEN THAT SHORT TIME. I DO A 4 DAY ON WITH 3 DAYS OFF:)

Usually about an hour or so for weight training. I teach aerobics and personal train so I am in the gym all of the time. Sometimes I have to break up my workouts and train one body part in the AM between classes or clients and another body part later in the day.
