I've been trying to follow this today. 2 people on my facebook are competing. It looks like a pretty competitive group of ladies.

I think Michelle Krack from BC got second in the figure tall - I didn't recognise the girl who won the tall class - not sure of who she is or where she is from.

I am surprized they didn't reward a second card!! they DO have that power!!!

I often wonder why some nationals shows they give out three cards --- and others just one. Depends on how they are feeling - giving that day or NOT!!!

It was so weird the year they gave every girl a card, short, medium tall and tall -- but NOT MARIA MORRONE for medium... um, hello --- she deserved one too!!!!

Yes, Maria came back with a vengence and won the card the following year... but I just shook my head that year they gave three, and left her out!!!

What an amazing weekend i am still in shock and do not fully believe yet the outcome of the event! Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragment! I am so thankful for the great support and in turn new package i was able to bring to the stage! i was a bit worried with taking two years off from the stage however, i really do feel mentally and physically it prepared me for this challenge, so many great competitors, a real honor.
Just got back from Montreal and am exhausted, will check in tomorow!

Anyone else noticing all the switcheroo pacings between figure masters and the height classes. I know this happens all the time but there are a couple of switches with huge point differences. Makes you wonder...

After seeing some pic's I feel a few girls were overlooked, in particular Shelley Yakimchuck and Tracey MacDonald. These girls came in so well conditioned maybe too well conditioned/lean for this show??? It's always tough to figure out this sport...maybe thats why it's called figure! lol

Leah - so glad you are doing the Toronto pro show!!! Best of luck!!!

Last year was the first year they introduced pro cards to the overall winners for fitness, figure and bikini. It definitely brought out more women to the competition. There are 3 shows now for them to win pro cards. (Natural Physique Championships, Canadian Nationals and North Americans) For bodybuilding, still only 2 shots (Canadian Nationals and North Americans)

Jacklyn- yes hotels in TO are expensive if you stay dt. I figured though to compete in Canada and after winning will be a great expereince and I am able to make it work with job/flights, hopefully though we can catch up or meet at another show!! Not sure my plans yet but keep me posted!

Hey ladies!! I'm doing the amateur Ontarios @ the same show (as you know J :)), the competitors rate for Hilton Garden Inn is $179 as per the TO Pro show website. I found the same room/same hotel on priceline for $129.... just an idea Leah!
Either that or hotwire too always has good deals for downtown TO.
Everything downtown TO is really close... and cabs are not that expensive if you end up having to take one. Just my two cents cuz I'm from around there!! :D
