I'm starting a summer job next week, and will be working outdoors, bringing my lunch in a cooler (I'm a grad student and was lucky to have an office that had a small microwave and fridge during the school year!). Any suggestions on good meal ideas that don't require heating?

If you are going to keep a cooler you may get away with boiling some eggs and keeping them in the cooler. Almonds, beef Jerkey, You can pack some protein powder and just mix it with water since I am sure you will have water if the job is outdoors. :D
Rice cakes...hm...I am still thinking. Maybe some turkey breast slices in a zip lock bag. You can always pack some slices of whole wheat bread. Apples. Hope that helps

I have often worked at places without a way to heat and still ate same stuffie chick/rice, ground turkey/rice, etc just ate it cold
depends on nutrition plan things like rice cakes are easy, tuna packets, WW bagels

I cook all my food at night and then take it to work the next day and just leave it sitting out bc I don't have access to a fridge. Nothing spoils, since it's already cooked. This includes steak/chix/fish/veggies. So I would say bring whatever you want and just get used to eating it cold.
