I haven't heard anything, but I think most women would be pleased to see it go. Am I right?

I did see that Sask. has done away with two piece black. So far no other organization has.

The way it read is that you have one judging round and that's it. So you wear your two piece color suit of choice and that's what you are judged on.

It seems good/bad. I see the purpose behind the two piece black. We all have different ideas of what bling will do to make us look more appealing to the judges, but the basic black give them an opportunity to look solely at physique.

We got rid of the black suit in Ontario a few years ago... last year they re-structured the tier system as well, used to be 5 "levels" now it's just regional qualifier and provincials. And just 2 pc for regionals!!:awesome:

I saw this too, but didnt want to say anything in case it wasn't true.

Whether its for every province or not-- I dunno, but I wouldn't doubt that it WILL happen very soon.

Canada's always just a few years behind :D

I am gonna put my money on it being gone everywhere!!!

I also think we will see some info soon in regards to NEW figure criteria, and possibly the NEW physique division.... could it be added at 2011 nats perhaps?

I am on the edge of my seat waiting for all the new info to come out.... certain 2011 will be a huge restructure for cbbf and all provincials and regional level events........

We are waiting................ hello, somebody get that info out please!!!!!

I agree with you there, Leanne. But I completely understand the need for some changes. I haven't heard from the Alberta exec yet, but I'll let you know if/when I do.

I'm easy as long as I can still wear something sparkly...

As far as I've heard we are not following suit just yet. But the new year may bring new changes!

And yes....... TONS OF SPARKLES!

In Finland IFBB level eliminated black 2 piece from last year. But may be taking it back next year because IFBB amteur international level is eliminating one piece suit and I assume keeping black 2 piece.

I dont understand whats wrong with black 2 piece. No matter if it is "ugly" or not, that the round where you can very best way to judge physique .. as EVERY competitor has same kind of suit, WITHOUT stone work, without any colour effects, limited freedom to choose material so the tricks you can affect on illusion are in most effect way eliminated in this round. So I think the sport is at its best in black 2 piece round. Eliminating it .. it will take sport more to wrong direction which would be sad.

Finland comes first with a lot of things. That's really cool :)

Yes this is very interesting. I just read this on the sask site:
Figure Competition Information:

*** Important Figure Announcement! ***
There will only be one judged round in the Figure category at the Novice, Provincial and National levels. This round will be the two piece color of your choice posing suit round.
Competitor Rules

* Competitors will compete in a two-piece suit color of their choice. The bottom of the suit must be v-shaped. Competitors can compete in an off the rack suit. All swimsuits must be in good taste.

NOTE that it states national level as well! Also see that it states you can use an off the rack suit??????

Well it will be interesting to hear if there will be any changes noted on the CBBF site over the next few months!

I saw that part about the 'Off the rack' and I'm a bit unsure of what that means. I think there is a couple of supplement stores that have very basic two piece posing suits in Alberta. It seems to me my friend bought her black two piece off the rack in Edmonton.

I hope the guidelines stay tight. The one thing I like is that the suits get looked over to make sure they follow the rules and cover what they're suppose to etc.

I've heard Manitoba will be ditching the one piece this year, but I haven't heard about the black two piece. I personally like it...a chance to assess the bodies without distraction from glitter

you guys still have the one pc in manitoba? that is dumb since nationals doesn't even have it anymore....

"off the rack"... that is the silliest thing I have ever read.... for figure!! I think someone is comfusing figure and bikini divisions.... could you imagine wearing a vic secrets bikini to a figure round! (more cost effective, but weird!)

Hopefully 2011 will bring THE SAME RULES across the country - instead of one province with one pc, one with black 2 pc still, some with some without, no rhyme or reason!!!! Would like to see the judging the same across canada as well... as there is a huge difference in what is rewarded in each province... making it very confusing come nationals time to know what will be rewarded.

So far Alberta still has the one piece also. There have been NO changes on the website at all.

I'm sure more announcements will come.

In Ontario, the OPA got official word and the new rules yesterday. The OPA is adopting these rules as well. They are the similiar, possibly the same as the NPC. I will be posting the info on our website very shortly but the summary is....... figure presentation round is stricter, there is no black 2 piece or one piece at the Figure/Fitness/Bikini championship (world qualifier still to be determined), the restrictions on shoes is lifted, Bikini will follow the same height classes as Figure, Bikini will now be hosted at the IFBB World Championships. The CBBF will be posting these shortly to its website as well. These changes are great and are welcomed :-)
