Big J1's Miss Olympia Predictions
Well, I have thought about this long and hard and have come to certain conclusions. First, I believe Iris Kyle is still the epitome of FBB and has withstood the challenges of the old guard. With the retirement of Lisa Aukland and Betty Pariso and the hiatus of Heather Armbrust (not old guard but a viable challenger) and with the lower recent placings of Cathy LeFrancois and Dayana Cadeau, only Yaxeni remains. So I am predicting new blood BUT not at the top, not just yet.

1st Place.....Iris Kyle.....to be the woman you have to beat the woman, to paraphrase the Nature Boy...not gonna happen

2nd Place...Yaxeni Oriquen....still that x-frame shape and all that mature muscle but I believe this year she will be seriously challenged for runner up by

3rd Place...Brigita Brezovac.....has everything to eventually challenge for #1 but needs to fill out a little more....this is the new face of the new guard

4th Place...Debi Laszewski....can be as high as second if the cards break right

5th Place...Sheila Bleck....going out on a limb here but I believe this is her time

6th Place...I am tempted to say pick a canadian here but that would be a cop out (leaving Cathy, Helen and Dayana also possible) so I will go with...Zoa Linsey.....this will be one huge top 6...

Now I know we can look at the remaining 5 and say that anyone of them could be top 6 and maybe even top 3 but I always promise to make definitive picks so here they are..

Couple thoughts...on their best days (already achieved) Cathy and Dayana are certainly world class FBB's and could challenge....on the best days (not yet achieved) Heather Foster and Tina Chandler could also crack the top...

Final Note....If this contest were judged by as a pure old school bodybuilding contest not an aesthetic muscle FBB contest and the judges did not know any of the competitors, my friend Helen Bouchard, in what she says will be her final contest, could easily place as high as second. Unfortunately, this will not likely be the case.

We apparently have another prognosticator for this show in Ironman's Ruth Silverman. for comparison's sake and after eliminating Heather Armbrust who is NOT competing...her picks were....Iris, Yaxeni, Debi, Brigita, Dayana, Sheila.....

I arrive on Thursday and will update as possible...

I think this will be the most exciting Ms Olympia in years. Iris will likely win the O, but who really knows who will place 2-6. :popcorn:

good predictions as always Joel.. I like the top 6.. But im gonna throw Helen Bouchard into the mix.. Not because she is my coach.. But because i have seen recent pics she sent me 2 days ago.. I didnt think it was possible, but she is way more conditioned that the Hartford show.. Legs are also fuller.. And trust me when i say, she will be bringing a whole new look to the O stage!!.. :respect:

Nailed the top 5 placings in order except for Brigita, who was not quite as sharp as her two previous shows.
The judges let her know it, though 10th is :nuts:.
Her physique is still fantastic, complete, symmetrical, elegant.

All the FBBS looked awesome, wish I could have made it there.

Well let's get right to it...



1st place Iris Kyle predicted 1st.......no surprise, no contest...Bobo Chick kept saying 5x then 6x champ, Iris will say 7x and noone will argue.

It is not relevant, She is the best there is, and quite possibly the best there was and the best there ever will be...



2nd place Yaxeni Oriquen predicted 2nd....and it is only a debate how many O's she would have won had Iris not been in the picture



3rd place Debi Laszewski predicted 4th (or as high as 2nd)...unanimous third and well deserved...



4th place Sheila Bleck predicted 5th.....I am so proud of her and proud to call her one of my closest friends....BRAVO



5th place Dayana Cadeau predicted 7th or 8th......I hope she will use this automatic invite, skip the Arnold and rest and recouperate from a difficult year on stage....If so, she could regain her past form in a heartbeat. This is clearly the most controversial of the placings..no one would have argued against placing the Divine Miss C 6th or 7th but one point made the diff here



6th place Heather Foster predicted 9th or 10th.....This is the first step towards achieving the placings that her structure and potential have always hinted at...I had her 5th personally but an automatic requalification could make her very very tough in 2011



7th Cathy

8th (tie) Helen Bouchard and Tina Chandler

10th Brigita

11th Zoa



Close call of the show......Cathy LeFrancois.....I had her 6th but understand 7th....Her 4th show of the year and none of them were easy for her....As with Dayana, rest and recouperation are called for here.



Disappointment ....Brigita Brezovac predicted 3rd....Too far too fast but the future has her name written on it.....



Breaks your heart...Zoa Linsey predicted sixth....on stage in obvious and excrutiating pain. Slipped disk, herniated disk, whatever it was, it looked like it hurt like hell and wrecked havoc on her O debut...She will be around for a long while and will improve



PLEASE READ MY FINAL NOTE IN THE ORIGINAL PREDICTIONS, I STAND BY MY COMMENTS AND UNFORTUNATELY THEY CAME TRUE. I SAW NO EXIGENT CIRCUMSTANCES FOR HELEN'S PLACING AND THEREFORE CONCLUDE AS PREDICTED THAT SHE IS A VICTIM OF CRITERIA JUDGING.

In fact please also remember that I predict the judge's placing and not my own preferences. Also be on the lookout for some missives regarding ADDITIONAL fbb criteria coming from the IFBB...



I will post a nationals thread if I have a competitor list. The last 11 weeks on the road have been very interesting and I thank all of you who have come up and said hello based on these threads or the eating contests. I am proud of what RX Muscle brings to the table....I remain always
