I'm sorry you didn't get a room there! I am staying at the Courtyard, however I did the Texas State show there last year and I remember that there are other hotels pretty close by. Also, my mom got a reservation at another Marriott that is about 7 miles away.

Probably not much help to you....sorry!

The host hotel is actually a little ways from the Venue. There should be several other hotels very close to the host hotel.
Also anything off Westheimer/Beltway 8 is fairly close but the food choices for when the show is over is limited in that area.

I do have a room reserved at the host for when I was going to do this show, but being that I am only going to be attending, I am gonna see if Patricia will put up with me for a night. I'll have to look and see when I have it reserved from...so it will most likely be up for grabs if someone would like to transfer the reservation over into their name.

The room I have reserved is a 1 bedroom suite with a queen bed and a sleeper sofa. Reserved for Fri and Sat night. The rate I have is $125 on a AAA rate at the Residence Inn.

If you would like it send me a PM and I will get it transfered over. Not sure the rate will stay the same.

K, have you gotten up with Steph? Last I spoke to her she hadn't booked a room - maybe see if you 2 can get together? Or are you bringing yo' man, too?? I think Herbie is probably coming.....

Anyway, as a frequent traveler, Homewood Suites by Hilton is usually VERY nice, and they all have kitchens :)

Right now, I have reservations at the Sleep Inn and Homewood Suites...haven't decided on which hotel reservation I'm gonna keep yet.

Anybody looking for a roommate...wanting to share a hotel room? I've been doing so many national shows lately, I'm thinking it's time to economize!
