Since Arnold Amateur will use the NPC rules and not the IFBB rules for Figure I am wondering if someone have a link to those.
I have searched for them, but could just find a few rows of text, not saying so much.
I would like to know rules for the different rounds.
Rules for the quarter turns
Rules for suits, shoes, jewelly etc
Scoring from the judges
One more detailed question. Will there be judging also during the finals on Saturday, or is it just presentation of the topp-10?

Hi Mats. I am not aware that there are 2 sets of ruling, 1 for NPC and 1 for IFBB.
Yes, there is judging at the finals as well.

IFBB have one set of rules for amateur level is called "Body Fitness"=Figure. They have also mentioned that the competition is according to NPC rules. So I assume that there is a difference in the rules.
The IFBB rules can be downloaded from www.ifbb.com, but I cant find the NPC rules anywhere.
Maybe the NPC rules is the same as the IFBB Pro Division rules? Where can I find those?

The criterias for the bodies (not physiques.. I have read your thread :-)) are the same i think. I am just interesting in the following.
1. What will happen during each round. All girls called on stage, one line, call outs etc... What is the order in NPC?
2. What about the scoring, when will they know if they have reached the final?
3. Is the score back to "Zero" when the final starts, or do you bring your points with you from the prejudging?
Thanks
/Mats

I think it all depends on who is Head Judge for the show. The HeadJudge calls out the shots. So in regards to your question #1. It all depends. What typically happens is I believe they bring out all the girls on stage. The judges have their first look at them and possible jot down their preference. Then all the girls go off stage and then come back individually and do their individual presentation. This is also different in how they want you to do their presentation. Some shows, they say specifically say do all 1/4 turn shots. Some shows, they say do a front, back and model pose. All depends. (So practice all avenues in this respect.).
After all the girls are done with their individual presentation they will probably bring out all the girls again, line them up on the side and start calling out the Top 4, next Top 4 etc...
I think I understand your last question. Judges do not have their scoresheets in front of them at the finals. Those were turned in at Pre-J. The judges do have their preference in mind though, but the top girls get judged again in the finals. So all the girls should bring their game to each line up.
Hope I answered that some for you.

for the arnold am you'll know about top whatever when pre-j is over...that's not how the natl level tends to do things but they do it that way for this show...did it last year, too...
if they do judging like natl level, I remember at team u the girls coming out in groups of a certain number and being put through the 1/4 turns and then filing off...then everyone came out and they started making their callouts and did their comparisons then...
as for finals scores, Tracy could better answer this one but I think they will be looking for who came back looking as good as the day before, or maybe even better...most of the decisions will have been made at pre-j but live judging still takes place at finals...

Thank you very much for your answer, so there are really no rules for the prejudging regarding order and such. I will make sure that Linda is ready for all above possibilities. Always listen to the headjudge is a good thing as usual.
Regarding the last question you answered it without understanding my question completely. The finalists will bring the score from prejudging, and add the score from the finals for a total score. And the total score will decide the winner. So they really need to be at the best both at prejudging and finals..
Thanks again for some clarifications.
