What are your weird food combos you love?

Mine are cut up cold chicken and cottage cheese, sometimes with a little hot sauce.

Oats and cottage cheese with PB (I think a lot of people do that) with salt in it.

I'm sure I have more, but thats it for now.

hmmm...

dont look at me...im the one who thinks putting catchup on anyting other then a hamburger, hot dog, or french fries is weird.

though that is funny....ill put hot sauce or salsa on eggs or hash browns in a heart beat, but think using catchup on them is odd.....

Man! Mine is boring. I'm a total "crack" addict for steamed broccoli mixed with cooked turkey burger (which is then seasoned with sea salt). I can eat that all of the time and be happy as a clam. I guess this combo doesn't fit into the "weird" category though. (but I do...........hee hee hee)

Anything else but the meat and oats? Not for me. Well, some seasonings every once in a while, like garlic and pepper. Or one of the Mrs Dash blends.

When I put egg whites in my oats, usually I just use a little sea salt. Sometimes a touch of that fake butter spray.

I tried that on my broccoli once. Didn't turn out too great.

I too eat almost all of my food cold. I only eat chicken cold b/c if it is hot right off the grill, it's too dry. I let it cool and dip it in mustard. I also love cold sweet potatoes! Like candy (ok maybe not), but I eat my cold chicken with my cold yams together and its really yummy. I've gotten use to eating cold food b/c I keep it in my cooler where ever I go. I even like cold oatmeal - I can't eat it hot. I put cottage cheese in my tuna- I put cottage cheese in a lot of things I eat.......

Cottage cheese IS good with tuna - I forgot about that one....

But I agree, cold chix/sweet pot is sweet, it's almost sweeter tasting cold....

here's one which may or may not be that weird but i accidentally "discovered" it today when i forgot to pack my stevia with my oatmeal post wkout -

I had one of those travel take-a-long crystal light things you put in your water (ok well it wasnt crystal light, it was 4C brand, in pomegranate flavor)

So i just added a little to my cold oatmeal w/ strawberries

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS DELISH!!! :D:D:D:D
i thoroughly enjoyed my precontest oatmeal evenmore so, and i'm looking forward to my next servings for tomorrow, that's been the only flavor i've tried, i'll let you know what others are good.

Do they have to be combined or just eaten in the same meal? If the latter, I had a cup of cottage cheese, prunes, and an apple with peanut butter on it today. A can of sardines, handful of walnuts, and prunes pretty common. I will combine all sorts odd things really.

I like to put low fat parmesan cheese on my egg whites. But one morning I wasn't paying attention and accidentally poured sugar free maple syrup on them also. I've been hooked on the combo ever since! It's almost like a McGriddle Sandwich!!!!

Whoa --- after reading about the PB and cottage cheese, I don't think what I'm going to write is all that different. (I may have to try that combo one of these days though :p)

Yesterday I took a can of tuna, mixed it with sticky rice and then decided I wanted some kosher dill pickles chopped up in it. Wasn't half bad actually. Pickles gave it a "twang" and satisfied my craving. ;)

Love this thread--

I am always making up some weird, weird creations.. and I must say that I totally agree with the delicious cottage cheese and PB combo... as well as eating most of my food cold and mustard with fish! :) Yum...

A cocoa and stevia on chicken breast is really tasty, cinnamon and stevia on eggs whites, hard boiled eggs with walden farms PB and chocolate dip, as well as tofu, strawberries, spinach, stevia, pp all blended together! :) :drool3:

I was cooking my spinach the usual way--with onion, a little garlic powder, salt, onion powder. Then, something told me to put in in my Magic Bullet with my avocado. I LOVE it. It is creamy, very green, warm, and savory. My seven year old calls it, "baby poop". I call it "delicious"! And it tastes good alone and over meats, too!

I scramble my eggs with my oatmeal and add stevia, cinnamon, pumpkin, and cayenne pepper...or i just do oatmeal with stevia, cinammon, cayenne and raisins

Egg whites, coconut extract, sugar free chocolate syrup

I started making my whey protein into a pancake batter like consistency and dry frying them into pancakes and adding sugar free syrup...or I make it into a pudding-ish consistency and eating it with a spoon.

...now that I just read the second one, it sounds kind of gross. But I loved it!

I've done the cc with chicken and salsa...good stuff! But I also add a little avocado and warm it all up! Very tasty! :)

This isn't too weird but since I'm here...quark (which is a soft cheese) with splenda and peanut butter...sooo good. :)

This isn't really weird, but it's my favorite meal right now so I wanted to share it...
lean ground beef (I do 90% lean)
All seasonings to taste... I like mine super spicy...
Franks Red Hot
Salsa
Crushed Red Pepper
Garlic
Mesquite BBQ seasoning
Ketchup (if your diet will allow it, the sugar gets burned off while simmering)
Combine it all and simmer on low heat til it's cooked through and the seasonings have become a thick sauce.
It tastes like a fatty boom batty sloppy joe or hamburger helper....
But it's not! It's so freakin good!

My trainer gets tired of the same old food towards the end of comp prep so she mixes tuna, sweet potatoes, broccoli, and spices in her Vitamix and makes a soup type liquid out of it. Gets the job done when chewing just wont cut it.

I cant do the tuna but I used turkey, broccoli, and plain unsweetened almond milk with some spices. Wasn't too bad but a little thick to drink....

Alot of people think I am crazy for this but I prefer my oatmeal savory, I cook the steel cut in organic chicken stock, will stir in some chopped mushrooms, onions, bell peppers and sometimes jalapeno too, to cook in the stock with the oats. Add cooked chicken breast, alittle cheddar cheese and plain yogart at the end, sometimes some herbs like chives and I add salt and cracked pepper. I love this it's so good!! I eat it for breakfast but I'd imagine you could have it anytime.

i definitely thought of this thread as i devoured my final meal this evening: plain chicken (cooked in slow cooker in water then shredded -- eaten cold) with natural unsalted PB on it. i mean...it's good. thank you contest prep for allowing me to discover this... :D

oh, and things that go on nearly everything: sf syrup, sf ketchup

1/2 cup oats+1/2 cup egg whites + 1 cup water cooked.... topped with garlic powder, 1 tbsp golden milled flax seed, pepper and sea salt. No idea why, but this is so good!

I put Unsweetened cocoa on everything (oats, sweet potatoes, cottage cheese). I love to put 1-2 tablespoons in oats with sea salt.

One of my favorite odd night time concoctions... I have a small bowl with a bottom layer of strawberry sugar fee jello, next layer cottage cheese mixed with cocoa, top layer tablespoon of peanut or almond butter. Yummyyy. feels like a layered dessert.

New one everyone needs to try! I try to mix my veggies up to keep it at least a little exciting haha. I have been on an onion kick lately, I brown them in a pan with dinner. Very yummy. But tonight I let them cook a long time, added a little seasonings and stirred til they browned. I just cooked a whole chopped medium yellow onion... after cooking add salt and pepper & horseradish mustard...mix it all up. Swear it tasted just like the blooming onion!

I saute my onions for a long time too - soooo long, and carmelized... then I throw them on a nice iceberg lettuce salad... the hot onions on the cold salad is delish!!! (sometimes I use balsamic on the onions too when I saute them)....
