Just had to share this with everyone. I hate fish and usually just choke it down when I need to eat it, but a friend gave me this awesome recipe that takes away that fishy taste. I sprinkle each side with Mrs dash steak seasoning, dill, and crushed red pepper. I wrap it in foil and either put on the grill on in the oven at 400 degrees..cook til flakey. So good!

I found a fabulous recipe that I HAVE to make again, it just made this contest diet bearable! I have a few meals left, but can't get them all in, so I combined them a bit
Meals remaining:
4 egg whites, 1/2 cup veggies
5-7 oz. orange roughy
3 TB cream of rice with 20g. whey
So I combined some of them and this is what I just baked:
2 giant orange roughy fillets that I patted dry and then dipped in one egg white and dipped in my cream of rice that was mixed with Marjoram, Dill, Garlic Salt, Garlic Powder and Pepper. Stuck in the oven at 450 for 15 minutes.
Easy to read version:
orange roughy
1 egg white, lightly beaten
3 TB cream of rice
Marjoram, Dill, Garlic Salt, Garlic Powder, Pepper
Combine dry ingredients in one bowl and combine egg white in another bowl.
Rinse fish and pat dry. Dip in egg white and then dip in the dry ingredients to coat. Put in baking dish covered with aluminum foil and sprayed with Pam, and bake at 450 for 12-15 minutes or until done.
:D
It can't be considered a cheat if I used all ingredients that were on my diet, just in the wrong order...can it?

I bake mine in the oven with either rosemary and sea salt, or italian seasonings and sea salt! LOVE it!

I usually cook mine on the stove with a little organic pam so it doesnt stick and i coat it with the spicy mrs.dash and the spicy takes away the fishy flavor...just make sure its cooked till its really flakey and its bearable, almost good! :eat:

actually i "might" be
depends if you macro nutrients are timed by time of day, around WOs etc
also if combining 2 -3 meals means you had HUGE gap of time that no meals were eaten

I tried orange roughy for the first time this weekend and thought it was delicious! (I hate salmon and not too fond of tilapia so I'm really glad I liked the orange roughy)
Unfortunately, it's $9.99 a pound! It was on sale for 8.99 a pound this weekend but that's still pretty steep for me to eat a lot of it. Sort of a random weird question...but does anyone know if Costco carries it and if it's a lot cheaper there?
Also, is filet of sole comparable in terms of nutrition? It's another fish I do like that's a bit cheaper. Thanks!
