Awesome! Thanks! I'm looking forward to this show. I saw on the site that they've always had a really good turnout of competitors. I've never been to DC, so I'm looking forward to seeing some of Georgetown. Roadtrip!! We're driving in.

I went the year before last to the prejudging, and the competition was pretty good. There were very few fbb, but the figure classes were pretty full, and lots of big guys!
You will love DC, and it's a great time to come visit. So much to do and see...but I guess it's no New York. ;)

Looking forward to it. Yeah, I checked the site for past results and saw figure had great turnouts. Can't wait. I'm hoping to get to see some of the town. We're spending the night at the host hotel, so, a lot depends on how I feel, how long pre-j takes and if the weather is nice. Wow, I have to wait for my serious cheat meal that Sunday morning. Hotel has a buffet! LOL

I'll be competing in Figure Short class and Figure Masters. Prep is going great and I look better this time at 3 weeks out than I was when I was prepping for the Metropolitan. Looking forward to seeing the end result, especially since I will do 2 other shows back to back before this one. What are your competition plans?

Awesome! Well, I can't wait to see you on stage.
I'm competing in the North American Aug. 29th. I just started dieting yesterday and I'm psyched! That will probably be the only other show I do this year (I competed in the Arnold amateur) because I want to put everything I have into this one.

That's great. :D I'd like to do that show next year. Gary Udit does a great job running his shows. Good luck! Hope we get to meet at this show. 5 more weeks!!

Ok, after some serious thought and covering bases with my trainer, I've decided NOT to do this show for several reasons :(
First, I'm feeling tired and overwhelmed with work at the moment. Last week was just the beginning and I went into work today for a few hours so I'm not in shock tomorrow lol. I have a great boss and I owe it to her for everything she's done for me and for supporting everything I do. So, work is #1 at this moment. Second, I'm not improving while being tired and dealing with work, so the best thing is to take a very short, but needed break and focus on Masters Nationals in 6 weeks.
I was looking forward to visiting DC and meeting you ladies from this board. Unfortunately, decisions/changes have to be made. Competitions will always be there and making this decision was easy for me. :p
So, starting a new game plan tomorrow morning and pressing on for Masters!!

Absolutely NOT!
J/K LOL
Take care Mel, and hopefully we'll get to meet at Masters. I'm planning on attending. You have been like super-comp-woman lately, so I understand why you need a break.

Hey doing a quick pop in. Aw, sorry I won't get to meet you at this show, but DEF at Masters. I just think the best thing is to stop, take a little short break, and readjust cause I will look worse if I go to DC and I don't want that. I'm hoping to get it almost right for Masters :D I will see you in less than 6 weeks!!! :waving:
