Am I Allowed to Shoot?

Hi folks!

This is going to be the first show I've ever attended.
I'm only able to afford prejudging right now so I won't be able to see the finals.
Just curious, will I be allowed to take photos from my place in the audience? Or, is that a no no.

Also, how are photographers chosen for these events?

Welcome to Siouxcountry! Your first show is always exciting, good choice on which to attend! :awesome:

As far as taking pics/video, it really depends on how things go that day. I know a lot of people do take pics from the audience. I've even seen a few home videos of shows that were taken from the audience. Now, it may be frowned upon, but it does happen. There have been times where my husband brought our camera, but was asked to put it away when he took a picture.

I will point out that this is a big show, and since it is both a Pro and an Amateur show, there will be a lot of media coverage. I'm pretty sure that most of the big sites will have photos posted. We will have live coverage going on here at Siouxcountry as well as links to the photos as they are posted!

A lot of girls from SC will be at the show, either attending or competing. You should definitely make plans to come say hi to us!

I am glad I asked instead of just bringing it and starting to snap away. Great to hear there will be photos posted here from the show as well. I kinda want to see what my body goal should be for starting out in bikini and what to work for for figure. I'll definitely come stalk...i mean... say hi to everyone! :)
