My husband and I went to the Olympia weekend last September for the 1st time and I cant imagine not making a repeat trip again this year. It was hands-down one of the best weekends of my life. Apart from being in the entertainment capital of the US, it was absolutely amazing to brush shoulders with the pros, take pictures, stack up on samples at the expo and overall just increase my knowledge of the industry. I must say that I left there with the "fever".
The only regret you can possibly have is by NOT buying tickets.

I'm going too! A very dear friend of mine (Zoa Linsey) is competing for the first time in the Ms. Olympia so I decided that since my hubby's bday is a week later, might as well surprise him with a trip. Now...if only I can keep it a secret until September! lol

OAMG is taking the show on the road to the Olympia.

Even though time is limited there will be the opportunity for early and late shoots so we encourage you to be open with your availability.

Our shoots will be customized to your needs, from portfolio development, to posters and headshots, to the sort of high quality edgy images that you are accustomed to in our work. We can also design websites, comp cards, ads, etc.

Please email theresejanc@yahoo.com for rates and availability or on facebook...therese janc.

I saw Zoa compete at the Phoenix Pro. Gorgeous! I am so happy that she will compete for Ms. Olympia.

Jason usually starts a thread in each major competition category with all that pertinent information. Glad you reminded him. :D

I'm thinking about going as well, I want to see my pal Nicole Duncan compete, as well as experience the expo, etc. I heard the host was already sold out! Gotta research flights and hotels!

I wanna go too! Gotta sit down and map out the costs before making a decision though - lots going on at that time of year. Hopefully I can just win the "Train with Ava" contest and go for FREE LOL

It might be a little late to post, but I want to recommend sitting with a straight-on view of the stage. I know you pay more, but really, really it will be worth it!!!

I don't recommend being upper left (as if you are facing the stage, seated...that is the 'left' I mean) because the camera for filming the event is positioned on that side. The camera has a long 'arm' and it was almost 100% of the time lined up between me and the posing square. I had to lean far to one side for the whole show.

I vowed that the next time, I would definitely pay to be straight on, and to be closer to stage.

Finally, since these tix are a lil cheaper in these upper side areas, you get more folks who just kind of are there to 'check it out', and they have a habit of standing up (especially during figure I guess because they came to see the guys) and spending a lot of time standing and not thinking of the fact that they are blocking everyone's view, so that adds to some frustration if you're really into scoping out all the details on the competitors!

Hope that helps!!! :)
