Dang!! I almost missed it to!! Sioux is so fast, I can't keep up! Thanks!

Thanks!! I got my new 2pc. suit today...the color is a turquiose/teal..but w/ all the compliments on the red..I'm wondering if I should wear it? Or maybe I'll wear the red for pre-j'n and my new suit at the finals...(hahahah!! I have to be positive, I hope to atleast make Top 15!!!) Maybe that's what I'll do!

I have already commented in your journal, but I agree with everyone. What a nice figure! Just perfect for the direction that figure is heading!!!

IG, thanks so much! I go back and forth w/ my trainer. I've really had to hold back on my training for figure! Even at my heaviest, in person, you could see I lifted heavy, heavy weights. 1 year ago when my trainer 1st looked at me he told me I was very blocky and my physique looked like a man/fat powerlifter, hahaha!! So anywho, it's nice to hear that my physique is more of a figure look now.

Good job girl. I know you've worked hard to get to this point. Have fun on stage in 2 weeks.

I know it's go'n to be a blast!!!

i 110% agree.. .you have what they want!!! GOOD LUCK GIRL!!:awesome:

Thanks Betsy!! I just keeping telling myself to stay focused!!!

You look spectacular Kenyatta! Great posing too! One of our clients just got back from the Contra, and she said while they were on stage, they kept telling the girls, Do not flex your arms, keep your arms down at your side, you are not bodybuilders. So they are really cracking down on figure athletes flexing on stage.

Good luck!

Thanks!! It gets hard, I know...sometimes those cravings are so strong. Dieting for shows really made me empathize with drug addicts. Most people think they can just stop. Physiologically there brain has been re-programmed. I know how I feel when I'm have a serious sweet/carb craving and to think a crack addicts craving is 100x stronger is just mind boggling!!

The rewards you receive down the road is well worth fighting through those cravings!! But on the flip side. I'm a supporter of cheat meals depending on when your comp. is. I think they help mentally and prevent all out binges!! So, one little cheat in moderation will not hurt ya...just can't do it everyday!! And I'd rather you cheat on some almonds than some chocolate covered almonds!!!

Thank you so much.....you're right regarding the almonds! We can be so hard on ourselves! I see what the diet has done for my body I am seeing changes that usually don't occur this soon for me. I've been dieting 7 weeks and have made some great strides already...I have never been so clean with my diet before and I know its because of you and the other ladies on this board....you all work so hard and look so good I know I can do better! I have already stepped up the cardio wasn't working hard enough....oh I am now! So I want you to know that you really have inspired me! I hope to someday be on a national stage competing with you ladies! I am so motivated!

He Tiffany...I planned to do the North Americans, but have decided not to. I'll just concentrate on my conditioning and prepare for the Nationals. I won't be doing any local shows leading up to the Nationals....I want to be at my best and peak for the Nationals....don't want to water deplete/carb up for a show two weeks prior and risk not being at my absolute best for Nats.

Yeah really didn't think about that. Well, I was too lean anyway, maybe I'll be filled out right for Ntls. LOL! I didn't even think I looked that lean until I looked back at my pics. Guess that protein shake and apple Q had me to drop that last week leaned me out too much. It is amazing what dropping 200 cals. can do to your body in 1 week. But hey, lean and hard are actually good compliments to me, just not for USA Ntl. competiton. :p

Geez, what else was on your diet....your lucky to have had fruit...I didn't have any fruit on the menu the entire 12 weeks! Whew! I dropped the protein powder 3 weeks out and I could really see a difference in my abs. Here's a pic that you and I took w/ Q!

He gave me diet and taught posing. I do all my own training. I only had just a couple of #'s to drop when I first went. The diet he gave me was not too bad. The training was the easiest part for me but I have really had to pratice my posing. I am so stiff, he has really helped me w/that.

Yeah, Quincy is awesome w/ the posing. I train solo also for the most part. Every so often I'll train w/ a friend, but with my crazy schedule I'm usually training by myself. When I reference my trainer, he does my diet and he also taught me how to train for conditioning/detail vs. for bulk like a male bb/football which is who I trained w/ the last 10 years! I have never had a female training partner. So my physique has definitely evolved the last 12 months. Do you think you'll do anything differently going into your next prep?

I probably will not get as lean and keep a couple of pounds this time. He thought my legs needed to be leaner and that was taking away P. shake and apple. I build and lean out really easy, so I have to be careful. I didn't do over 8# weights and look what I got. Could you imagine if I would do heavy weight or all those muscle building supplements people take. I would be huge! I would of been good at about 109 but oh well, bet I'll get to keep my shake and apple next time. I am going to work on legs more.
What about you, any changes or just mantience? I need a partner that competes, I teach 3 classes per week plus train someone early am, plus 2 kids and job, it's so hard to find someone who could do my schedule. My hubby works a lot so I have to be home in evenings plus help w/homework w/ my baby, he's ADD and it is so time consuming in evenings w/his work plus private tutoring. So know what you mean by crazy schedule..

Wow that's so nice that you lean out easily! I am having a hard time building my arms my legs come in pretty good and that's genetics! I envy you ladies with those nice size guns! I know what you mean when it comes to having a partner that competes. I've had partners that competed when I first started out competing 4 yrs ago. Then I moved they moved and no one in my new gym competed. I was no longer motivated. I now attend a gym where I have a few women there who compete. I have befriended one and it's so cool. We workout together when our schedules permit. We both like to train by ourselves as well.....we talk this fitness stuff 24/7 it's great we're dieting together and we're bitchy on different days and that's cool too! She knows when I'm bitchy and tells me to get over it and get with it....I laugh! When she complains about her diet or her damn quads I tell her get over it and get with these sprints;)! However, it's women like you that motivate me as well because you all have such busy schedules.....and still find the time to compete I applaud YOU! :respect:

That's great you found a partner, I have had several but they either don't work hard enough, whine or talk too much. None of them have been competitors so it would be nice to have one who has or is going to compete. I love training people but that's me pushing them not the opposite. My kids are my nutrionist, they see me eating something that may have too many carbs and they say, in there "mommy" voices, "are you supposed to be eating that, how many carbs in that?" So if they just knew the training part I would be set.;)

I agree with you it's tough finding great workout partners.......there was a 3rd that said she wanted to compete however she has already decided that she will be unable to compete for various reasons. Competing opened so many doors for me....then I fell off! No more falling off for me....training for a show figure, fitness and/or bodybuilding takes commitment to the 10th power if you don't have that then you will not make it! Supportive friends and family is a must as well.....your kids are just too cute!

You have the motivation!! It's easier w/ a workout partner...but then sometimes it's best to just trian on your own....Just stay focused on your goals and you'll be fine!

Yep I lvoe training alone....my workout partner is time challenged she admits it....and I love her for her honesty... so I do mostly train alone however her show is coming up and I am there for her and she is there for me and she works hard and I love it! Nothing like meeting your match!

Exactly....my partner wasn't that honest...he would say I'm running late..then I'd wait and wait some more..Long story short, by the time he'd get there I could have done my weights and be on cardio. I tolerated it in the off season, but during prep I had to let him go! When your pressed for time, it's just best to get it done vs. waiting on some1 else!

Jisfit, what's your name!!? LOL!

You fall off what are you supposed to do? Get back on!!! You can do this, and your right, it is all about commitment.
