After the rather positive feed-back from my latest post regarding Sibylle Eleftheriadis (see the sepearte Thread on her) I just put on some further links and information reagrding German FBB from the Amateur level. In many cases they just don't seem to get the attentiona dn recognition they deserve. I guess this may be true for many FBB all over the world - however it seems to be very much the case in Germany.
So although it probably caters mostly for a dedicated community this Board still plays a great role in promoting the sport and gives all the FBB / Figuere and Fitness Competitors at least a bit of the exposute they deserve. This is great!!
Anyhow back to the subject:
Sibylle is absolutely great. Her maiden name was Sibylle Upmann and as you correctly pointed out, Gert, she is now married.
Her class at the International German Championchips (+ 55 KG) wsa one of the most competitive classes in recent years with Anita Hess placing 2nd, Tina klöpfer 3rd and Merle Mohr 4th. I have included a couple of shots of all the woman. Many observes felt Tina and Merle should have tied for 2nd with Sibylle being the clear and undisputed winner. Tina Klöpfr is a long standing competitor in Germany and brought her best shape to stage. Merle is just in mid 20s with a physique that screams potential - she has been that hard before. Anita - who placed 2nd - recently switched from figure to bb. She has beautiful lines and structures however was not as hard asthe other woman. Not to be outdone Violet Schwarz who was mentioned in the Thread by Anne on the European Championchips 2008. She won the German Championchips in spring 2007 (for the record: there are two chmapionchip seasons in Germany - the one in spring is open to German Nationals only whereas in autumn atletes from other country can compete as well) Violet looked awesome in spring - razor-sharp, totally ripped and shredded and easily won her class. She competed under her maiden name Keidel as well and is an accomplished powerlifter as well.
